Constellation 08
[There are several piles of snow on the Plane today. There's enough of it to cover a small section of the 'floor' in it, as well as scatterings here and there. Arthur is sitting in the middle of it, dressed appropriately for the cold, at least, with a heavy winter jacket and large snow boots. His cheeks are a bright red, though whether this is because of the cold or the scotch currently being filtered by his body is anyone's guess.
There are tuffs of snow on his hair and clothes, but these are ignored in favor of the drawing in the snow he seems to be working on at the moment. Equations, to be exact]
[Experiment start, as well~]

You brought snow. I love snow.

[Handy may note that there is a slight slurr to Arthur's words, though they're still easy enough to comprehend]
no subject
[grins a little as he sits down, noticing that slur]
Someone seems in high spirits.

Oh? Well, I do rather like it. It has a nice tone. Though, I pay more attention to it because it does vary through regenerations. I liked my Eighth's laugh, now that I think about it.

And here I thought I had seen an end to the snow this season.

[He looks up at her, smiling] 'ello, I'm Arthur Eddington.

[her smile grows in measures]
You are the one that resembles the Doctor. My name is Jeanne Antionette Poisson, though most call me Reinette here.

I mean, Diva is looking curiously at the equations he's drawing}
What are those?
no subject
Arthur looks up at Diva for a moment, before turning back to his work] Equations I'm working on, in my spare time.
no subject
Diva blinks, and pronounces the word carefully, her French accent slipping into the word}
E-qua-tion. An equation? And what is that?
no subject
He pauses, then settles back so that he can look up at Diva properly while he explains. There's aslight slur in his words due to the alcohol] It's a way of using mathematical sysmbols, like numbers or signs, to show that two things are exactly the same.
You can think of it like writing, but in mathematical terms. Each set of symbols on either sign of the equal sign [points] are called expressions. Like sentences that make up a paragraph.
no subject
Mm, that sounds complicated. I never learned ciphering, so I guess that's why I've never heard of it.

Isaiah is missing bright sun and blinding heat, and moves closer to the snow to express his disgust, at which points he sees Eddington's equations.]
Oh my god, is that like, alien writing?
