[There are several piles of snow on the Plane today. There's enough of it to cover a small section of the 'floor' in it, as well as scatterings here and there. Arthur is sitting in the middle of it, dressed appropriately for the cold, at least, with a heavy winter jacket and large snow boots. His cheeks are a bright red, though whether this is because of the cold or the scotch currently being filtered by his body is anyone's guess.

There are tuffs of snow on his hair and clothes, but these are ignored in favor of the drawing in the snow he seems to be working on at the moment. Equations, to be exact]

Likely it will. The vocal folds change as one gets older, I think. Just slight differences. What are you doing, by the way?

I'm tobogganing with Charles. I thought I'd finally figured out how to work out this variable here, though, [he points at a particular part of the original equation] and I wanted to try it out.

It's very enjoyable. We spent a few hours drinking and catching up, before going out in the snow.

Mhmm, just a bit of fun. I'm taking a short break from work, while Charle's visits.

[He laughs and smiles.] Drinking enough to feel it, hm?

Though I've always enjoy mathematics purely for fun. Does your friend not enjoy them?

[smiles] Just a bit. We can't have too much, or else the tobogan becomes difficult to drag up the hills.

Oh, he does! Very much so, actually. But we're meant to be walking right now, and I don't want to make him stand around in the snow while I work this out.

I imagine so. Otherwise you'd just end up falling down and not much tobogganing would get done.

A notebook might be easiest, really. Though snow is easy to erase.

Falling can be a bit fun, too. I usually end up trying to grab on to Charles when it happens though. Out of instinct, I suppose.

I'm always afraid I'll loose track of the notebook, if I bring one with me.

[The Doctor raises an eyebrow at that comment.] I suppose. It's natural to want balance.

[And then he looks over him.] You need more pockets.

He doesn't seem to mind, at least. I'd hate to bother him.

[looks down] I don't have anything as warm with many pockets.

I'm sure you don't. Well, not 100% but I can't imagine it being too terrible a bother.

[Tilts his head.] Oh, you can always add pockets.

Our clothing does get torn, every so often, which I'm sure is a bother. He knows how to sew, though, so it's not too much of a problem most of the time.

Can you? I wouldn't know how.

Well! If someone can sew, that isn't really a problem, is it?

Oh, I might be able to. I'm rather fond of pockets. I have a lot of them.

It might be if the tear's too big. And it's cold to sit out in the snow lacking clothing.

[snorts.] Just a bit. Though it would depend on the length of exposure time.

I might have self attaching pockets left over somewhere. Amazing little invention, really.

I'd rather not risk a cold. Then we couldn't go out as planned for the rest of his stay.

I should get them after this, though. He's a bit drunk, but not enough to overlook additional pockets.

And yes, that's actually for the best. I'd have to find them first. They're probably in the wardrobe, I imagine, but that really doesn't narrow it.

Lecture, theater, cinema, maybe go out cycling for a few days if hte weather warms up a bit.

I could help you look for them. Or...well, I suppose not. I don't really have access to your reality.

Oh, that sounds nice. All of it. Though cycling in the snow can't be terribly easy.

[He smiles.] Well! Maybe soon, eh?

It's not, but we're used to it. He's gone cycling with me before.

[grins] It's very likely, if I understand the Plane's mechanics well enough.

Exactly! Well, not that I completely understand how that could be possible. Still working on that bit.
