Constellation 08

[There are several piles of snow on the Plane today. There's enough of it to cover a small section of the 'floor' in it, as well as scatterings here and there. Arthur is sitting in the middle of it, dressed appropriately for the cold, at least, with a heavy winter jacket and large snow boots. His cheeks are a bright red, though whether this is because of the cold or the scotch currently being filtered by his body is anyone's guess.

There are tuffs of snow on his hair and clothes, but these are ignored in favor of the drawing in the snow he seems to be working on at the moment. Equations, to be exact]
[Experiment start, as well~]

[turns to stare at Handy in no small amount of horror]

Did you just say 'sow your wild oats'?

[The Doctor can't help but snort, laughing under his breath. That description is hilarious.

Then he blinks and turns to Arthur.]

Oh, well, yes. We were. Are. Erm, anyway. [Rubs the back of his neck and sinks into the seat just a hair.] Should pay attention to the film, right, Arthur?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[looks a little troubled by this phrasing as well]

I think I just did, yeah.

[then shrugs]

Is that avoiding the question, then?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[his the Doctor in the shoulder and smiles pleasantly at Handy] I would be happy to give you a very detailed answer.

[but he's eyeing Arthur suspiciously]

Yes, Arthur, it is about sex. Aren't you... bothered? You know, stuck-up, confined, limited Quaker sensibilities offended? Blushing, at least a little, about how it's inappropriate?

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
[The Doctor considers this and says, mostly to himself.] Drinking does tend to lead to similar side-effects...

[Then a bit less to himself.] Too much alcohol, maybe?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[and he really doesn't want that detailed answer, but seeing as there is an audience around, he can't back down] Please, do tell.

[to the Doctor re: Arthur, almost as an aside] I figured the same thing, alcohol or the like.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
[holds up a finger to tell Handy to pause]

Have you been drinking, Eddington?

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Now, that isn't entirely true! Motor skills do end up hampered by alcohol but some people are quite capable of walking and being, well, uninhibited at the same time.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure he's just a bit caught up in the film as well, wasn't paying enough attention to be bothered, right Arthur? Besides that, there's nothing wrong with having a drink or two, so let's just leave him alone.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
[IGNORES HANDY]

I didn't know you drank.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
[He grins a bit at the whining. Poor kid.]

Mm, well then. In that case, there might be something wrong with you. Not that getting over your repression is entirely a bad thing but generally people don't suddenly manage it out fo the blue.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
[looks over at the Doctor]

Something wrong with him? What like...oh, it's another experiment, isn't it? They're really extra fond of them as of late, aren't they?

[looks ahead at the screen thinking and then stops and turns to Arthur, concerned]

All this lack of inhibition, you haven't gone and done anything to get yourself in trouble, have you?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
It may not be an experiment, but it certainly has been caused by an external influence.

Hey, Arthur: ever played Shag, Marry, Kill?

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'm starting to wonder how they affect people. No one ever seems to remember anything strange happening or notice the difference in themselves.

[But he pauses his musings for a moment.] Don't play that. Honestly, that game is ridiculous.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-21 12:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You two seemed to enjoy yours enough, there hasn't been any negative side effects since you've returned to form, have there?

[stops himself, looking over at Arthur] He's right you know, you don't want to play.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
We still didn't chose it.

And come on, Arthur! It's just a fun little game. I name three people, and you hypothetically decide which one you'd shag, which you'd marry, and which you'd chuck off a cliff.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Speaks to Handy for a moment.] Not exactly ill effects, no. Just, well, having Omega sharing your body again...

[he leans back, tilting his head.] I did play a version once where you could leave the person somewhere forever instead.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
[thoughtfully] I guess I never really thought of it that way, I just assumed, well I don't know....

[leans forward a little to talk to the Doctor] Well you might as well just cliff them at that point, same difference. [leaning forward a little more to address Arthur] There is no fourth option. It's the point of the game. You don't have to play if you don't want to, no one's forcing you. Just tell him you don't want to.

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
No, Arthur, tell me what you want, whether it's a yes or a no.
