[There are several piles of snow on the Plane today. There's enough of it to cover a small section of the 'floor' in it, as well as scatterings here and there. Arthur is sitting in the middle of it, dressed appropriately for the cold, at least, with a heavy winter jacket and large snow boots. His cheeks are a bright red, though whether this is because of the cold or the scotch currently being filtered by his body is anyone's guess.

There are tuffs of snow on his hair and clothes, but these are ignored in favor of the drawing in the snow he seems to be working on at the moment. Equations, to be exact]

Of course. There are several realities besides mine; I assume there's quite a few men in them.

I know that. I meant are there other men you fancy outside your reality.

[He thinks on it for a few moments, idly drawing out more of his equation. Finally he gives a slight shrug] I don't know if it counts.

[thinks for a moment]

Well, he's notoriously thick as far as this sort of thing goes, you'll have to just out and out tell him, you know.

[smiles] Yes, that's the one.

I don't plan on telling him, though.

[awww, Arthur. Handy thinks you're adorable, even if having a crush on your sort of twin seems odd to him. Still to each his own or whatever]

Why not? He likes you well enough from what I can see.

Oh, I doubt he likes me in that way. He has the Master.

I wouldn't be so certain. And besides, yeah he has the Master, but the Master has a wife as well. So it's not the most traditional set up in the universe.

I have no reason to think he does, so I'd rather not risk it.

[pauses and tries to put this in terms Arthur would understand]

What if Einstein gave up and decided the scientific community would never accept his theories? Where would we be now?

[frowns] But that's different.

Did he? [smirks a little, but then more serious] How is it different?

It's less emotionally involved and more logical.

And I doubt much would change if I told him, unlike Einstein's theory.

Or you think everything could change and that's why you're afraid to ask. If you think nothing would change you wouldn't be half as cautious, I'm sure.

[tilts his head] See? Why would I want things to change?

Because they could be better. Why would you want things to remain stagnant and in stasis?
