[today, Oliver arrives on the Plane with a bed in tow. not just any bed, but what appears to be a standard-issue hospital bed from the 27th century. he is also wearing a hospital gown, and he has an oxygen tube hooked to his nose and an IV in his arm, although the appartuses the devices were attached to don't seem to have made it to the Plane with him. hopefully he didn't actually need those. interestingly enough, there is no sign of injury on Oliver himself, except for perhaps the IV in his arm. but in addition to all this, Oliver looks terribly startled to have arrived on the Plane]
What the--what is this!? [looks around him in confusion, then gives the IV a suspicious look] I thought I wasn't on anything strong! Why the hell... This was a dream! [turns upward, apparently addressing the stars themselves] A dream, you hear?
I know I was wishing to be anywhere but hospital, but blimey, that didn't mean I wanted to start hallucinating! [sighs] I wonder how long this is gonna last... [props himself up a bit, pulling the tube out of his nose as he turns to take a look around him]
[ooc: This is NOT an experiment. Oliver is suffering from some nasty side effects of chemical exposure during an incident on Gondovan. He currently has amnesia stretching through the last several years of his life. His memory will slowly return, but for now he doesn't remember the Plane or anyone on it, nor how his empathy ability works. he also doesn't remember the details of his life on Gondovan or even the end of his travels with the Doctor. So, enjoy the confused Brummie!]

Pardon my ramble there. I apparently am inable to just flat out narrate. :|
And in all seriousness, it's Nathan. Vaguely concerned. He knows this guy, he can at least, you know, show some concern even if they aren't pals.]
Hey, uh, I don't think the stars can hear you. They're stars. They don't have ears. Or audi- auditory... functions.
[He flashes Oliver a bit of an awkward grin.]
So, in the hospital, huh? You get hit by a car?
[Nevermind that Oliver doesn't look like he got hit by a car, but you never know. It could be all internal injuries! Those are the terrible ones, you know.]
no subject
Oh, I know! I mean, in real life, sure. But I'm hallucinating, so maybe they can. You came when I talked to them, anyway.
Uh...no. [considers whether or not to say more. after all, shouldn't figments of your imagination already have the details? but this one obviously doesn't, and it is nice to have someone to talk to besides stars] Somebody attacked me with citroloform. That's what the doctors told me, anyway.
no subject
Okay, we are- we are not going into that, okay. I already had a fucking, like, weird existential fucking crisis over hallucinations, um. Earlier this month. Not doing it again.
[And due to being somewhat deaf, the quieter bit is completely unheard by Nathan. Yay hearing damage due to years of extremely loud music!]
...I have no idea what ...citrislolorophone is. Is that, uh, like chlorin- chloroform?

This will not hasten your recovery a bit Ollie. Sorry.
... Those IVs, they explain nearly nothing to him. Stupid technology barrier. But he is fairly sure that is some kind of medical something-or-another, so Break shall simply take a shot in the dark. ]
If I DO happen to be your hallucination, would you mind refilling this tin for me? It's dreadfully annoying to always run out so QUICKLY, you see, Mister Day. I see you're faring far worse than our last conversation to boot!
no subject
Whoa! Uh...hello. [he isn't sure what to say about the candy tin, so he latches onto the easier topic] Our last conversation?
no subject
He doesn't recall a thing!
Oh, he recalls some things, but not this something in particular, it seems.
[ Oh my god did that doll just move on its own, make clicking noises, and talk in what sounds like a higher pitched version of Break's voice? Yes. Yes it did. ]
Mister Day, do you remember the other day?

mind a latecomer?
I hope you didn't need that IV, Oliver. [she's scrutinising him, now, gaze quick and sharp]
I know hospitals can get tedious, but really, this was just reckless.
Not at all!
[and that comment? that was just confusing] What did I do?
