[There is a Doctor wandering the snow-covered hills on the Plane again. He's actually without his leather jacket, simply wearing a black jumper and trousers. He scans the air with his screwdriver, frowning, before bending down to scoop up some snow]

All this heat and humidity beats the ice caves on Raxacoricofallapatorius. But it's wrong. This snow ought to be melting. [he pockets the screwdriver, before packing the snow into a ball and tossing it between his hands] Wonder if it'll melt with the storm -- there's got to be one soon, the weather's perfect for it.

[pauses] Perfect if you're on Earth, anyway. Of all the planets in all the universes to choose from, why'd the Machine pick Earth for a weather simulation?

Oi! What'd you do that for? [he turns around and pouts, because he's a wuss. Then, he retaliates with the snowball he's holding in his hands. :|]

[sits up from where he was making a snow angel. oops, Doctor, didn't hear you coming!]

Because Earth is great! [gets to his feet, waving to the Doctor]

Or probably for the same reason so many people on the Plane are from Earth? Versions of it, anyway...

[waves back, grinning] If there's any sort of logic involved with the Machine, that would make sense. The second bit, anyway -- doubt it cares much how fantastic Earth is.

[hurries over to him--after carefully side-stepping his angel. wouldn't want to ruin it] What, you think a Machine could really run with no logic at all?

[Hi, Nine! Have a cheetah cub bounding towards you. Or rather, trying to, it keeps falling into deeper areas of the snow. With it there, the Master can't be far off unless he's left it to fend for itself.

A word of caution though, the 'kitten' has been trained to attack Doctor scented things. If he makes it over there, fear for your outfit.]

[d'awww. Nine glances at the cheetah, debating how to make friends with it without being clawed to death. He drops off the Plane, and returns with a bowl of meat, which he sets closeish to the cub. Omnomnom?]

[It stops, momentarily confused by the disappearance but then resumes its bounding towards him when he returns! One more snow drift dive and he is torn between Doctor!scent and the bowl.

You're lucky this time. He goes for the bowl! Omnomnom!]

Seems we're going to have to work on that. [The Master wanders up, wearing a liberal amount of snow. He's been attempting to teach the cub to hunt properly.]

[The snow is moving!! Or, at least, parts of it are moving, as a cinnamon colored ferret has found that this stuff makes for WONDERFUL tunneling once it's been properly dug out. Jamie's here too, frowning a bit.] Och, where have ye gotten off to now, ye wee beastie?

Oh! Doctor! Hey, have ye seen a ferret around here somewhere?

[Nine scans the snow with his screwdriver :3] Gotcha! [he digs the adorable little fellow out of the snow, handing him to Jamie] Where'd you pick up a ferret? Or has this one hatched out of an egg?

Thank ye. [Jamie takes the ferret, which decides that now is an excellent time to shake off the snow. It gets all over the Scot, and he looks rather disgruntled.]

No, from my egg. I'd not think I'd have gotten a ferret otherwise. He's a right wee terror, and no mistake.

If I may point, the Plane doesn't normally maintain a temperature that would keep snow frozen. I'm not under the impression that it's particularly concerned with obeying our universe's rules.

[picks up some snow, forming it in a nice snowball] Oi, over here! [aaaaand he lobs it at Nine's shoulder. it'd be too easy to aim for those ears!]
