(no subject)

[There is a Doctor wandering the snow-covered hills on the Plane again. He's actually without his leather jacket, simply wearing a black jumper and trousers. He scans the air with his screwdriver, frowning, before bending down to scoop up some snow]

All this heat and humidity beats the ice caves on Raxacoricofallapatorius. But it's wrong. This snow ought to be melting. [he pockets the screwdriver, before packing the snow into a ball and tossing it between his hands] Wonder if it'll melt with the storm -- there's got to be one soon, the weather's perfect for it.

[pauses] Perfect if you're on Earth, anyway. Of all the planets in all the universes to choose from, why'd the Machine pick Earth for a weather simulation?

[ooc: Nine has been canon-bumped to the end of Boom Town!]

[He huffs a bit.]

Then finish already so that I can fix the mess YOU started.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
That's none of your concern.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Stay away from me. This's your only warning. Any more meddling like that note crap, and I'll make sure you never see Emil again. It's for his own good, whether you believe me or not.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Emil just stands there, glaring.]

You're so stupid. He can't hear any of this. He went to sleep because he wanted to. He couldn't take the news you gave him, so he's hiding like the little coward he is.

I told you he wasn't ready.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not now. When we have all the Cores... then he'll be ready.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Each one awakens a Centurion. Centurions control the monsters that run rampant on Aselia, and through them, the flow of mana. Without awakening all of the Centurions our world will die. Deserts are already freezing over and forests have burned because of this.

It wasn't a problem before the worlds were reunited, but humans have a way of interfering. You can't just undo thousands of years using an hourglass system and expect it to work perfectly.

There are also various idiots after the same thing we are, only they want to use the Cores to kill each other. Naturally.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Nine. One for each kind of mana... and Ratatosk, who rules over the Centurions. That one's in a safe place until he wakes up.

[Take that with a grain of salt, Nine. He crosses his arms.] A long time ago the world was split into two, with four Summon Spirits on either side regulating the flow of mana from one side to the other so that it wasn't depleted. There's a limited amount.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[He gives Nine a flat look.] If I was a god, do you really think I'd be sitting in a mortal body when I could be doing my job?

I'm Emil. A part of him made to protect Marta.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Whatever. I'm not. "Deal with Marta" isn't the same as protecting her. You think I'd leave that kind of task to the wimp?

How about I don't? You seem to be pretty intent on figuring that stuff out on your own.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
How about you shut the hell up before I give you a broken arm to go with that black eye?

LJ just told me that I need to decide if I'm screening comments. While tagging YOUR post. What.

[identity profile] pactum.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[coolly] I meant what I said about interfering.

Don't screw this up.

[He drops from the Plane.]
