[have the TARDIS walking about with a glass of some sort of wine. she's so taking advantage of having prolonged, physical projections to finally try things she couldn't before]

I will never understand the fascination with imbibing alcohol. This is the fourth one I've had and I am as unimpressed with this one as the last three. I must wonder why the Doctor insists on keeping it around.

I've noticed a great deal more people arriving in this place. If we could calculate when a new being in being drawn into this nexus, perhaps we could harness that energy as a means of escape for ourselves. Has anyone tried such a thing, yet?

What exactly is the sense in lacking your faculties for an unspecified amount of time?

Helps you forget things you want to forget. Helps you loosen up and enjoy things you wouldn't otherwise let yourself do. Also pretty important in a lot of... bonding rituals between males, apparently.

I've tried scanning the area for rifts in time. We got a few odd readings, yeah, but nothing I can decipher. The people here aren't the ones giving off anything strange, though.

[laughs] Some of those are an acquired taste. But I wouldn't mind trying the Beruvian Enhanced Cider again. I always meant to get some more but I ran out during my Ninth and I've been a bit busy since then.

Most of it's merits are recreational, but I sometimes use it for medicinal reasons.

I do not drink other alcohols, but in the case of wine, it is a very proud one. Rarely on others will you see the specific château at which the grapes were cultivated. It is a staple in France less because of the intoxication that too much would cause, but rather because of its compliment to many dishes and social function and meaning.

Yes, but that would require having tastes to go along with such dishes. I do not eat, sir, nor drink really. I'm simply taking advantage of this corporeal state whilst I am able.

Offering a drink to someone relaxes them. Many associate, for example, wine with sophistication, courtesy - it puts them at ease, at least a bit, and if they do drink then all the better.

I enjoy some varieties, but when all is said and done I still prefer tea.

Traditions are often made to be discarded, but they do come in useful. [would usually take issue with this, but really, he lives inside her]

I was unaware human alcohol had the propensity for either. [tilts her head] If one can enter this place, one should be able to leave, don't you agree?
