(no subject)

[sets down various weapons as stolen from Minato's under-the-bed armory. It is worth noting that he's chosen to relax at the bar, and that there is an opened bottle of whisky on the counter]

House fire in Kingston upon Hull, six-year-old boy dead. It's considered an accident.

Ethics in altering the past you know as a fact while back in time: discuss.

[drinks from his glass of whisky]

Or don't.

[and another drink!]

A word, Guv.

[clicks his tongue and possibly smirking] What? And then get the chance to ramble on and on about things like the Silica Revolt and the Trade of the Winds and Yaqar's Ten while you stare at me, completely captivated by my every word, asking more questions and all that? Sounds just a bit vain.

Oi! Now that's just being rude, Sam Tyler. [hums and spins a bottle around] I hope you're not planning on sitting around getting pissed and pondering ethics.

Whenever I'm honest, people say it's rude. And nope! [tosses the bottle, bounces it off his elbow and catches it] Ah well. [slides back over the counter into his seat and sets the bottle down] I wasn't really thirsty anyway.

[grins and props his head up on the bar] Dunno if you have any, either.

Well now you've just hurt my feelings. Don't think I'll ever recover from that.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't quite believe you. I've been hurt too many times, Sam.

I haven't been married for at least one hundred years, you know.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-03-29 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, well, it was a predestination paradox. History said the princess married a stranger that arrived suddenly to beat out this throne inheritance loophole. And that turned out to be me. Always lovely. She had a wonderful reign.

Hm? Oh, I suppose so, yeah. She was very interested in astronomy so we had that to talk about. Oh and she made the funniest face at me during the vows. I nearly cracked up. Would've been bad.

[plays with the top of a bottle] Humans think of love differently. They have categories for it and certain behaviours and all that attached to each type. It's a bit of a loaded question from you lot. [pauses, then rubs the back of his neck] Sorry, that was a bit rude. I mean I think of it differently than you might.

[identity profile] salvagestime.livejournal.com 2008-03-30 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
[runs his finger in a circle around the neck of the bottle] Oooh, loads of things. No categories or types. Just a spectrum of feelings. I love some people more than others. That's all there is to it.

Oi, was not! What's this a bottle of, anyway? [flips the bottle over in his hand] Rum? Ah, well. [fishes behind the bar for a glass and pours himself a bit of rum] Hawaii has some fun banana, pineapple and rum drinks, you know. [swirls the rum in the glass] So then, if you're an expert, what's a proper answer about love, eh? Let's hear yours.
