What's all this then? It's pretty unexpected, I have to say. If this is what I've been missing out on, I'll have to start sneaking out of the Palace again.
[he looks around idly, seeming pretty calm and unmoved by it all. He's just chill and almost pleasantly so]
Still, as nice as the scenery is, pulling people into Machines isn't something to be taken lightly. Grand experiments like this without the consent of the test subjects aren't something I can condone. I might have to talk to some people. Hopefully there aren’t any idiots I know getting themselves mixed up in anything they shouldn't be. It would be a hassle to have to clean up someone else's mess again.
[a sigh that's somewhere between annoyed and unamused. He crosses his arms over his chest, and if there was a throne somewhere he'd take a seat. Oh well, he'll just look around expectantly]
So how about someone come out and tell me how to get out of this place? While the look of the place and the new surroundings are great, being trapped too long in one place would be annoying.

[and he pushes himself off of Jade,
foiling Jade once again]I guess for now I'll have to find something else to tell me what's going on since you're so useless.
[and he heads off in some direction to try to find a place with written information]

It's the place that says 'Information.' But if you require it, I'd be happy to read it out for Your Majesty. I understand how difficult longer words can be for you.

My, my, it seems it will save me the trouble of expending unnecessary energy on such an emperor as yourself.

[and Peony leans on Jade's shoulder again. He is highly amused by Nathan's brochure and Jason's narration]
Hey, that's pretty good. This place might be fun.

Please print a copy of the Naismith brochure for His Majesty.
[Peony can read that one. But you have to get the Jason Kane narration of the Explosion brochure. It's just fun.]

So I finally get to hear Jade read something out loud. All right.
[Peony isn't going to read that one, not after Jade offered earlier.]

Tear is here. As are Luke and Asch.
[And people say Jade can't be direct. But then, the reason he wanted Peony to read the second one was for its mention of meetings between times and universes. He really doesn't want to discuss this with his Emperor at all.]

Luke and Asch?

This place brings people from different universes together. It also can take people from different points in history. Luke and Tear have recently been taken aboard the Tartarus. Asch has returned to the Outer Lands after Akzeriuth's fall.
[Jade crouches down and takes off his glasses, so that he can meet Peony's eyes with the red irises that Jade rejects as symbols of his sins. They are more like warnings of what he is capable of doing, a reminder of what he has done.]
Fate cannot be changed, and you cannot revive the dead. Troublesome children like Asch don't know that yet.
[It would be nice if Peony trusted Jade. But Jade accepts that it is difficult to earn back trust once it is lost.]

[he sighs though, because idiots are exhausting] What's that Asch guy up to?

He and Luke had more in common than Asch might want to admit.
[Fomicry: it works better than you'd think]

[Peony starts looking through Broderick's brochure]
If he changed their past, would that change our present or does it all splinter off after that into different histories?

[a slightly worrying smile touches his face] But don't worry, Your Majesty. I stayed quiet and hid myself from the monsters.

[more seriously] So what kind of experiment did you ask Tear and Asch to do for you?
no subject
I've asked each of them to leave a message somewhere. If Asch can find Tear's message, her actions affect his present. If I can find Asch's and Tear's, their actions affect our present. Asch left his in Daath, so I'll have to take a trip to find it.
[If you can trust Jade with one thing, it's his faith in the scientific method.]

[he hugs his one knee as he props his chin up on top of it]
Why not just ask our Tear if she ever remembers meeting you in space?

I've compiled a report on all the possible repercussions that may come from changing history. If Asch won't change his mind, I intend on having Tear and Luke read the report as well.
