[let it not be said the TARDIS is without a sense of humour. as a matter of fact, she has an almost vicious one, and since it's April Fools Day on the Doctor's favourite planet, she's decided to use this quaint custom to rile things up. what can she say, it's been a rather stressful few days. she could use the fun.

and so! enter the Rani -- or, at least, a TARDIS!projection of the Rani, in all her arrogant and disdainful glory]

So this is where you've holed yourselves up, then, Doctor? Master? [sniffs] How very droll.

Christmas...you give gifts on that holiday, do you not? [hand porn~] You never bring me gifts, Doctor.

[hand porn ftw] Hm, you're right. All right! What do you like, old girl?

[she likes this too much, really. touchy feely TARDIS. aaaand cue playing with your hair, Doctor] You have to ask? Surprise me, Doctor.

[he just laughs and smiles] All right, I'll get you a present. I'm rubbish at getting gifts, though. Always debating over things.

[nods, leaning in to nuzzle him] That's fine, Doctor. Anything you get me would be wonderful. [mischievous smile] Perhaps you could get me something a human woman would like?

[pets the TARDIS~] Hm, something like that, eh? I'll do my best, then. End of the week at the most.

[aaaand hugs him, complete with petting] I'll be waiting, then~

[hugs her tightly] All right then. One Christmas gift a la human woman coming up.

[yaaaaaay hugging! she likes hugging. and petting your hair, Doctor] When and where shall I meet you for this, then?

[he likes the petting, so that's okay] Hmm...how about that bit of ocean and beach I have here?

[she's happy to oblige with plenty more] That would work well. The end of the week, then? Or will you contact me if it's sooner? [she's so secretly excited to be getting Doctor!gifts]

[so amused by her cuteness] I'll wait for you there when it's done. Well, it'll look different, so you'll know, all right?

[she is definitely super ~~obsessed~~ cute] Different? How do you mean?

[mysterious smile] You'll be able to tell. It'll be noticeable.

[is intrigued by this and nods, smiling coyly herself] Then I look forward to seeing it, Doctor.

[beams] Good! Part of the fun of Christmas is all the energy and waiting.

Is it? I find it...frustrating. [chews her lip, watching him curiously] I am unused to this sense of anticipation. I tend to wait patiently. Well. [smirks a little] For the most part. There are times you try my patience.

[smirks a bit] I like to think I'm worth the anticipation.

If you weren't, I wouldn't feel it in the first place. [presses a hand to his cheek] You are worth a great many things.

[smiles and puts his hand over hers] 'Course I am. You too, you know. We're quite a pair, eh? The Doctor and the TARDIS.

Mmmm. [smiles, bowing her head] What am I worth to you, Doctor?

The stars. [yes, he really thought of that first] That's how I see them, isn't it? Through you.

[that's the single most romantic thing ever ; ; have a very tight hug, Doctor, with the TARDIS whispering in your ear] You do. Them, and every world in-between. I would give you more, if I could. All the universes, all the galaxies -- every moment in existence.

[the Doctor is good at romance when he's not thinking he's on the spot for it! Or, you know, being romantic in the first place. and he hugs her tightly back] We have time to see it. That's the fun of travel, isn't it? Knowing there's still something new to see out there.

[then perhaps the TARDIS is better off with him being naive in regards to her feelings (she disagrees, of course)] I know. Learning something new ... I never dreamt it possible, at one point. Not on Gallifrey, not tucked away. But you, Doctor... [holds him and rests her head on his chest] You gave the stars back to me.
