[The Doctor, after an encounter with a certain Time Lord who shall remain nameless, is utterly and completely smashed, thanks to some hot springs hijinks. He is also utterly and completely naked, and sprawled out in one of the indoor mineral baths.

He's got a ridiculously fake grin plastered (pun intended) all over his face as he fiddles with his indigo ring, inspecting it with his sonic screwdriver. Both of which are clearly awesome bath toys. Feel free to go wtf at him, especially because he is humming "Tainted Love" to himself during all this. Off-key. Clearly he should stick to dancing in this regeneration.]

[raises eyebrows] And if I leave you to it?

[pouts] Then I'd be lonely.

And quite possibly get yourself in a worse state. [sighs, and kneels down beside the bath] What exactly possessed you to do this?

[and Nine will be attempting to avoid Five's gaze now] Wasn't meaning to get this drunk. Didn't have that many drinks. But I think there's something about this place...makes it worse. The tolerance went down.

[if his tone seems scolding that's because it is] You ought to have expected that sort of thing.

[if his tone seems sulky that's because it is] How was I supposed to expect it? S'not like this has ever happened to me before. Haven't been around the Plane that long, really.

[wry smile] Clearly you're just not paranoid enough.

Guess not! Suppose he seemed a bit tipsy himself though, shoulda paid more attention.

...You ran into Omega as well, then.

[tenses quite noticeably] Didn't say it was him.

[his brow furrows slightly at that; concern and curiosity] Are there other tipsy Time Lords about?

There could be? Considering. [he doesn't sound remotely convincing, though]

[gazes at him steadily] Tell me what happened.

[shakes his head] Doesn't matter. Nothing I didn't deserve.

[snort] I do hope he's not chastising you for the destructions of Gallifrey. It would be highly hypocritical.

[Nine is simply quiet for a long moment]

[crosses his arms]

[sighs] He still wishes I'd died with them, and that's not going to change, 'cause there's nothing I can do. Says the only reason I seek him out is 'cause I think I deserve his anger. And maybe I do, but it's not the only reason. He's a stupid...stupidface. [oh Nine. So eloquent.]

Indeed he is. [stretches his arms behind him, sliding back a bit before dipping his bare feet into the water] Were you to condemn the universe to save Gallifrey, Doctor, then you would deserve anger.

[stubbornly] I'd deserve it either way.

[have a gentle kick, Nine] That's rubbish and you know it.

[squirms :| have a splash, Five] If it's rubbish, why does he hate me the way he does?

[grimaces, wiping water out of his eyes as he speaks] Because he isn't thinking rationally. [splashes you with his foot] If you hadn't noticed, he's a penchant for that.

[chuckles] It really is nice in here, you ought to get more than your feet wet. [changing the subject? obviously]
