anyone want to confess?

[There's a poof of sand and Wolfwood appears carrying a very odd looking model church in his hands. Looking around quickly, he grins and plops the church over the head of the nearest person.]

Got any sins needin' confessin'? Any blasphemous acts or indiscretions? It's on the house!

[ooc: In the anime, Wolfwood did this to the driver in exchange for letting him ride the bus for less than the going rate. So for the pleasure - or not - of anyone crossing his path today, he will 'confessionalize' anyone he sees. You can also manage to dodge the church/portable confessional but he will be very determined to put it on people's heads anyways.]

A few minutes, hm? I'll have to be succinct.

How does it go? Oh, uhhh... forgive me Father, for I have sinned. I have burned down forests and the sentient insectoid species within. There was no 'goodness' in my action, only vengeance for a crime committed against me when I was young.

Is that good? Am I absolved? Or is it that one's sin's are absolved; you'll forgive me, my society doesn't have any concept of 'sin' all together, so this doesn't come naturally to me.

Surprisingly humble, for a Man of God.

Oh, I don't know if I believe that.

That you're 'just' a simple man of God? I don't believe it. There's more than that to you.

Oh, you're just a priest, I don't think! You've something to hide, don't you? Well, everyone does, but certain people are a bit particular about it, you know? Great hulking shadows of pasts that they drag around on their backs. Emotional baggage, essentially. It's annoying when you have to live with it around the clock. Not your own, I mean, but other people's. Maybe the priest is a redemption thing, I wonder? I've been trying to use a bit of human psychology for this sort of thing. Circa 21st century, though, so I'll be bringing up your father soon.

Sufficient. Though really, there's such a thing as vicarious purging. I think it's called catharsis.

Oh, no, not that at all. But I'm quite done, thank you.
