[Unsurprising, being whisked off somewhere new is somewhat disconcerting. Hawk ventures a couple of steps further onto the Plane, looking around, before offering any opinion on it.] So… a travelling shop, and this is… what, the destination? The point of origin? [the shop continues to not show up when he scans the area again, though, and he sucks his lip in, hands going to his sash.] It seems very eager to have taken off again. So… maybe not. Maybe it’s a common area, a stepping stage, that could make sense. But for what purpose?
…well, at least the floor stays where it ought. [He taps it with one foot a few times, and straightens up.] And it’s rather more spacious than where I was, that’s a point for it. [He relaxes, shoulders going down, elbows loose, lips quirking up.] May as well stretch my legs while I’m here. I’m not exactly in a hurry.

Oh! Hello. Were you looking for something?

I've been to the very large onsen, and I've taken a look at the Library. There's also a working kitchen, and there's a Theater that asks for food as an admission fee.
no subject
Huh. That's quite a variety of things, isn't it? [He pauses, considering that for a moment.] What does it need the food for?
no subject
[ Then she shrugs a shoulder. ] I don't know yet. I want to find out though. I'm headed to the kitchen to put a bento together! Would you like to come with me?
no subject
A bento? Certainly! Lead the way. [He smiles, hands tucked into his sash.]
no subject
[ Then remembering her manners -- ] I am Tsubaki, by the way. What's your name?
no subject
I'm Hawk. Pleased to meet you, Tsubaki.
no subject
Oh-- is there any food you like in particular?

Hello there! Looking for something in particular?
no subject
No, not particularly! Though- [his eyes flick down for a moment] -is there a kitchen around here? I wouldn't mind getting a bite to eat.
no subject
[Assuming it hasn't switched around already, but he doesn't think that's the case.]
Say, I don't think I've seen ye around here before. [He offers out the same hand he used to wave, this time to shake if the other man wants to.] My name's Jamie.
no subject
Well, I've only just arrived, so it's only to be expected! [He reaches out to take Jamie's hand and shake it.] I'm Hawk. Pleased to meet you, Jamie.
no subject
[He's fairly sure there's people here who've been here for awhile that he hasn't met, what with one thing or another. But since Hawk is new, he figures it can't hurt to offer some help, if the other man wants it.]
Have ye had a chance to get either of those brochure-things yet or would ye like me to fill ye in instead?
no subject
Brochure-things? I didn't know there were any. If you don't mind! [He smiles brightly.]
no subject
They've both got some useful information, but ye...ah, may have to try and puzzle it out from what they've written down. Better if someone just tells ye about it, if ye ask me.
[And that is all the warning Hawk is going to get there, although he may apologize later if he finds out Hawk actually reads Nathan's brochure. It's...colorful, to say the least. But since he's here and the brochures are not, he's willing to give the information in person.]
Well, the first thing you'll need know is how to go home. All you've got to do is think about it, maybe take a wee step forward if that helps, and you're there. And to get back, you just think of coming back here.
no subject
Just like that? That… seems almost too easy. [Still. If he can return, and come back here just as easily, there's nothing much to lose, is there? He just needs to be quick, and he can be. He flashes Jamie a toothy grin.] All right. Back in a moment! [and he takes the first step forwards and vanishes, reappearing a few moments later and another step away.] …well! Handy if you wanted to get out of something, I imagine.

[it's been a while since he's given a greeting speech, so it comes out a bit scattered, but also with a friendly smile. Oliver turns in a circle, trying to think of where to find the kiosk from here] This way! Uh...what was your name? I'm Oliver, by the way!
no subject
[He moves after Oliver, nodding.] I'm Hawk. Nice to meet you, Oliver.
no subject
You can! [he smiles, glad to be able to convey some good news. giving an introduction to the Plane is often rather depressing] If you think about going home, you'll go there. And when you want to come back here, just think about here again. Oh, and even better--time doesn't pass while you're here, so you won't have missed anything back home.
Nice to meet you, too, Hawk! [he grins] Don't worry, the brochure will explain a lot of things. And I've been here for a long time, so if you've got questions, I might be able to answer them.
no subject
Sounds pretty good. It just works like that? [he snaps his fingers.]
All right, thanks. [he nods, and smiles back, looking Oliver over, curious] Do you know why we're here?
no subject
[he smiles, nodding] Exactly! I could show you, but you might just want to give it a go yourself.
Oh... [his expression falls at that] That's the less pleasant part of things. Hang on, you should probably read the brochure first. [he figures that'll be easier than explaining the experiments to Hawk himself, at least] Should be...this way... There's a kiosk--follow me! [and he starts off across the starry Plane]
no subject
Now? [he's just checking that this won't disrupt the conversation.]
…ah. Well, I suppose it was bound to be more than just pretty. [not that knowing that makes him feel any better. He follows Oliver, hands by his sides.]
