Case 001: Surviving a Fall
[When Sherlock Holmes hits the ground, he is in a great deal more pain than he expected, considering where he was supposed to land. He groans loudly.]
Ow! I think I missed...
[He slowly and carefully rolls himself over to his back and cautiously opens his eyes. No John to talk to and no skull either, talking to himself will have to do.]
Oh, oh... Is this death? Did I die? Oh, how disappointing. To make it that far and loose in the end. Perhaps Moriarty is right. Perhaps I am an angel.
[Then he realizes that the metallic smell and taste to the air wasn't blood. He sits up slowly, then checks himself over.]
Okay, not bleeding, that's a good start. Doesn't feel like anything's broken.
[He blinks a few times and looks around him again, he doesn't quite believe what he's seeing. He looks around him completely bewildered, taking in the sight around him.]
John was right. I shouldn't have deleted all that information about the universe.
[He slowly and carefully gets to his feet, checking to ensure his legs will support his weight, when a memory stirs.]
Oh! That shop that had appeared in Bart's! Something about my being chosen...
[He shoves his hands in his coat pockets and winces as he realizes he doesn't have his mobile. He looks around again and calls out.]
Hello?! Anyone about?

There are many of us about, although this area tends to be a bit quieter than others.
no subject
Quieter than the others?
[He looks around.]
I thought...
[He shakes his head, trying to clear it.]
Clearly I was wrong. This is a nexus of some sort, then?
[It's a simple enough deduction. What else would you call a place that seems to be nowhere and everywhere at the same time?]

This is a point of entry, then? Those newly arrived come here and... once greeted have not much reason to return.
[Well, this isn't boring, at least.]
no subject
You may come and go between here and your home reality with a thought akin to taking a step. Returning can be something of a compulsion, if you take too long to do so on your own, however.

This what a modern Holmes might sound like? It was a fun speculation, but Conan knew better, adopting his usual little kid demeanour to answer.]
I'm about!
((ooc: Hi! I'm playing (obviously) a huge fan of the traditional Sherlock Holmes canon here, but no worries -- Conan hasn't figured out who Sherlock is and once he does, he will be too busy going 'omg! :D ' to go 'but you're fictional' or anything intrusive like that.))
no subject
Are... your parents around?
{{OOC: Thanks for the heads up XD I try not to pull from the books too much because I never know what they might pull from them in modern canon. But I think this will be interesting interactions at the very least.}}
no subject
They don't know about this place! It's only people who've been to the shop that do -- and only a few people even see the shop.
You're really new, right? Has anyone shown you the pamphlets?
no subject
[Mentioned? Yes. Has he read them? No, he had more pressing things he was dealing with when the Shop decided to intervene.]

I was right?
[Of course, he is obviously not John Watson. Besides not being the right age, he looks nothing like the man Sherlock knows. This John happens to agree with the statement Sherlock just made about deleting information, though, so he quickly frowns.]
Well yeah, you definitely shouldn't delete information about the universe! What if someone needed that information?
[He doesn't sound scolding as he talks, though. He sounds more amazed and curious, like he's wondering why Sherlock would do something like that in the first place.]
no subject
He points to his head.]
This is my hard-drive. A disk can only hold so much information. So I only keep the things that are really useful...
[He looks around at all the stars.]
Until just now, knowledge of the universe wasn't useful.
no subject
[He kind of maybe believes that Sherlock might actually have a power like that, based on how he's talking. Sadly, he thinks of things very concretely.]
no subject
Because I choose to. And it's not like I've forgotten it. I deemed it wasn't necessary and so got rid of it.

For me it's as likely to be be death as not.
[He had been falling from a 4 story building, after all.]
So it's not so much about appearances... more about cause and effect.
I'm the slowest ever. ;;
No worries, I'm pretty back-tag friendly right now XD
[He'll come back to the second part, but this was more fun.]

[He looks the woman up and down. She looked like someone trying to appear to be an aboriginal, rather than being aboriginal herself. Well, at the very least there were some adults around. He was starting to wonder if he would be the only adult with a bunch of kids. He shudders. That is a scary thought.]

[Blind as she was, she could not see the appraising glance that he gave her. But his voice was cold.]
OOOO Leela from Gallifrey Series **hugs** It's the only audio I've heard so far
Well. Now I know this isn't heaven. You're blind. And...
[He looks at her again.]
Blind later in life. Did it happen because of this place?
You know it!? Wow! (I can't wait to stalk Sherlock meeting Braxiatel and Romana ...)
I do XD Came across it by accident and loved it, I need to get into the other BFA now
I am in no way biased and encourage this completely.
No. No, of course not XD

[He repeats the words reflectively. Okay, that was weird. Of course there was always debate about whether Camelot existed or not. All myths have a basis in reality... and considering where he was - well, he had to trust his senses.]
And what sorts of healing did he practice?
