Case 001: Surviving a Fall
[When Sherlock Holmes hits the ground, he is in a great deal more pain than he expected, considering where he was supposed to land. He groans loudly.]
Ow! I think I missed...
[He slowly and carefully rolls himself over to his back and cautiously opens his eyes. No John to talk to and no skull either, talking to himself will have to do.]
Oh, oh... Is this death? Did I die? Oh, how disappointing. To make it that far and loose in the end. Perhaps Moriarty is right. Perhaps I am an angel.
[Then he realizes that the metallic smell and taste to the air wasn't blood. He sits up slowly, then checks himself over.]
Okay, not bleeding, that's a good start. Doesn't feel like anything's broken.
[He blinks a few times and looks around him again, he doesn't quite believe what he's seeing. He looks around him completely bewildered, taking in the sight around him.]
John was right. I shouldn't have deleted all that information about the universe.
[He slowly and carefully gets to his feet, checking to ensure his legs will support his weight, when a memory stirs.]
Oh! That shop that had appeared in Bart's! Something about my being chosen...
[He shoves his hands in his coat pockets and winces as he realizes he doesn't have his mobile. He looks around again and calls out.]
Hello?! Anyone about?

[He's intrigued, though.]

[They may have been from a number of different worlds, but the people who used the Plane were certainly alive.]
This isn't the afterlife.

I didn't say it was the afterlife... I asked how you intended to prove I wasn't dead.
[He looks around again, he intentionally skipped over her request.]
I was falling... and fell here.

[She frowned a little at his sparse explanation. She'd never heard of someone arriving like that before.]
Do you remember seeing a strange shop before you fell?

[Don't pay him too much attention - he's playing a game with himself to adjust his speech to someone who's from 'Camelot'.]
no subject
Why would you want to do that?
no subject
To save the lives of my three friends.

[Well, it's true, depending on how you decide to look at it.]

[People often tried to use Arthur's loved ones to get to him. It was hardly his fault.]

[That's what had upset him the most. Not that there were three assassins out to kill his friends. He was upset because he lost. He was forced to call himself a fake and 'die' in shame.]

If I don't survive the fall... any planning I do here will be wasted.

I thought so... until I was informed that when I return, it will be to the same moment in time. So I've gained nothing there by coming here.

That... is possible?

What else could we try?

[My look at all that John missed out on because he was hit by that cyclist!]
