001 - Cy for Sign Me Up

[A long-haired gray tabby appears on the plane. At first glance, she looks like a kitten; she’s stubby and clumsy and small. Closer inspection, however, reveals her to be an adult cat who is stubby and clumsy and small. The tabby markings swoop down her sides like gray and black flames. She has four white socks and a white spot on her chin, a pink nose and intense yellow eyes.

And, mostly hidden by her long fur, something metal glints at the crown of her head.

She doesn’t seem to notice the change in venue; she’s busy with a Very Important Task. That is, stripping to pieces and eating a ball of what appears to be tin foil and duct tape, smeared with gasoline and engine grease.]

[Speeds up, trying to catch her tail again.]

Follow the moon to the dark places, climb the night tower, sink the sword in before they see you, MP3-pi-o!

[He's just watching you now, kitty.]

[Gives up on the tail and stumbles dizzily sideways into his leg.] Sing for your courage, boyo.

What should I sing?

[Goes after the laces she untied last time.]

Sing me a song of mind over matter, splintering glass and a gun to the skull. The dark is falling in around you--got it hard, huh, boyo?

... It's not so bad.

That's good. [Contemplates his pant leg again.]

[Mun says GO FOR IT. Minato isn't doing anything right now either way :|]

[PANTSATTACK.]

BOSH!

[The poor pants. Wonder what Mitsuru and Yukari are going to say when he comes back with the legs torn to shreds and cat scratches all over his legs :|]

[Imitates Yukari's voice.] What happened to you? Get attacked by a lawnmower?

No, a stra- [Wait that was the cat.] ...

[Switches to Mitsuru.] You should really take better care of your uniforms, Arisato.

[Being lectured by a cat...] I'll try.

[Pats his shoe delicately with a paw, now sounding like Aigis.] Good boy, Kuro-chan.

My name's not Koromaru. [oblivious that you called him a dog :|]

[Bats at his laces.] Oh no, boyo, you're the lord of Thanatos.

Lord of Thanatos?

Ask the Cheshire-boy. [Somersault.] He knows more than you will say.

[Stops. Frowns.] A lot more.

Okay. [Except he probably won't :|]

[Goes back to attacking his pants.] Well you don't gotta lie to me MP3-pi-o.

[AND DING, HE FINALLY GETS IT. Psychic cat.]
