001 - Cy for Sign Me Up

[A long-haired gray tabby appears on the plane. At first glance, she looks like a kitten; she’s stubby and clumsy and small. Closer inspection, however, reveals her to be an adult cat who is stubby and clumsy and small. The tabby markings swoop down her sides like gray and black flames. She has four white socks and a white spot on her chin, a pink nose and intense yellow eyes.

And, mostly hidden by her long fur, something metal glints at the crown of her head.

She doesn’t seem to notice the change in venue; she’s busy with a Very Important Task. That is, stripping to pieces and eating a ball of what appears to be tin foil and duct tape, smeared with gasoline and engine grease.]

[Person! She leaves off her meal and goes over to sniff him.] Well, hello, shiny. What's this?

Hmm~? Are you, perhaps, one of Chen's friends? [ Yuyuko kneels and smiles at the little cat. ]

[Almost surprised by talking kitty. Almost. He pets her lightly.] This is the Astral Plane.

[Oh, a kitty! Shun kneels down next to the cat] Well, what are you doing here?

[ Yuzuriha stares at the cat for a long moment. She reaches for the pouch fastened to her waist, pulling out strips of dried meat and setting it on the floor near the cat. She doesn't beckon to it though. ]

[What's this? It's a kitty! Have a Hei crouching down nearby.] Hello, there. I'm guessing you're not just a normal cat.

It flies, does it? Sky pilot would be proud. [She dabs a paw at his hand and then freezes.] Hold on, jolly roger. It spoke to us.

Ah...No, I meant Plane as in dimension....

I spoke, yes. Is that strange?

[She continues to obliviously apply herself to her meal, muttering small kitty sounds as she does so.]

[Cy looks up, a bit of tin foil dangling from the side of her mouth.] Chen, yen, perfect ten. Never heard of 'im.

[aww, a kitten! Link smiles and kneels down] Hey. Are you lost?

[Continues nomming] It's dinner time, Jackson. I'm having chow.

[Stares a little] You can talk?

[She tilts her head, giving the meat a quizzical look.] They needs buckles to work as belts, mate. [She tears a strip from the tin foil and proceeds to munch on it.]

[ She tilts her head at the cat, not as surprised by the talking as she thought she'd be. Actually the food bothers her more. ]

What is that?

[Gives Hei a skeptical look.] You don't know normal from Tuesday, boss, if you think Normal's a cat.

[She looks up at him, her nose smeared with grease.] No, Evergreen, I'm hungry. This here's dinner, see?

[Shakes her head and ends up shaking her whole body in a wibbly dance.] Well, I'd say so, Captain Underpants. What would Ace say about all this? The dulls are being shiny!

I'd say my speaking is a feat less surprising than you speaking, but I'm not one to judge, am I?
