[have the TARDIS on the Astral Plane, obviously preoccupied and seemingly frustrated]

Why will they not listen? Why will they never, ever listen? I grow weary of their constant arguing. [seems to be holding a conversation with someone else while muttering to herself] No, that is not acceptable. Why can they not understand I won't hurt them? That wretched, useless -- did they just shoot at me?

[long-suffering sigh] I am convinced today is a Saturday. There can be no other explanation.

Why would we do that? [pause] Paint ... our toenails?

Because it's a good way to feel good after a bad day. Hold on a minute. [Drops off of the plane, then comes back with a stack of movies, a bag of nail polish, some chocolates, some ice cream, and brings a TV, coffee table, and a couch with her] You even get to pick the movie.

I do not -- [frowns, then looks surprised at what Rose brings back, looking through the items warily, poking the movies] I fail to see how sitting about eating and painting parts of my exterior strange colours will fix my reality.

It's not supposed to fix anything, just....help. [Sits down and eats a chocolate]

I see. [doesn't, really, but she supposes a moment's interruption can't hurt] This is not a custom I'm familiar with. What does watching [grabs a random movie - let's say 'Sixteen Candles' just because] this movie have to do with feeling better?

Dunno, really. It's what Mum always does with me whenever I've had a bad day. [Holds out the box of chocolates] You going to sit?

When I've had a bad day, the Doctor repairs me. [gives her a curious glance, then sits, but doesn't take a chocolate] I do not often have bad days, however.

Lucky you. [Gets up for a minute to put on the movie, then sits back down, then starts examining the nail polish] Pink or blue, do you think?

How am I lucky? [blinks] Blue. What for?

Because you don't often have bad days. [Picks out a blue, then hands over the bag of nail polish] For the toenails.

No, I suppose I don't. Though I am often left alone. One could treat those as bad days, though it's what I'm used to, so I'm uncertain. [still does not get this toenail thing and picks at the bag, baffled]

Well, do you like it? Or not? [Grins] How 'bout orange? Or pink?

[ooc: She tries, honest~ *loves*]

Being alone? So long as I can hear the Doctor, it is not so bad. I worry for him, though, especially when he's gone a long time. [tilts her head] I ... do not know. Pink, I suppose?

Doesn't sound too much like a bad day, then. [Picks out a pink bottle and hands it to her] This is one of my favorites.

Only when I'm shot at. Or blown up. Or melted down. I wasn't particularly fond of being drilled into, either. [holds the bottle loosely] ...I do not understand what you want me to do.

I don't blame you.

[Starts pulling off her shoes and socks and starts painting her toenail] Er...paint your toenails? Like I'm doing now.

[smiles] No, I guess you can't.

[watches Rose, then begins following suit, removing her boots and opening the nail polish bottle, wielding it awkwardly as she tries to paint her toenails] Is it supposed to smell this bad?

Yeah, it is. [Wrinkles nose] One of the downsides to having pretty nails.

[nods, glancing down at her toes] Is this the same as tanning, then? A way to look more attractive?

It is, yeah, I guess. I never really thought about it that way before, but yeah, it is.

Are you trying to look more attractive for someone in particular, then?

[Blinks] Not really, no.

Ah. [looks down, finishing one foot before asking] What are your feelings on the Doctor, Rose Tyler?

Er, well, that's---um. [Finishes her feet and looks over] Why d'you ask?

[completely unperturbed by Rose's verbal flailing] You and the Doctor travelled together in the past and you spend a great deal of time together now. [frowns] That faerie who possessed you also read your mind and said you loved the Doctor beyond simple friendship. Is this true?
