[have the TARDIS on the Astral Plane, obviously preoccupied and seemingly frustrated]

Why will they not listen? Why will they never, ever listen? I grow weary of their constant arguing. [seems to be holding a conversation with someone else while muttering to herself] No, that is not acceptable. Why can they not understand I won't hurt them? That wretched, useless -- did they just shoot at me?

[long-suffering sigh] I am convinced today is a Saturday. There can be no other explanation.

Dunno. [Shrugs, and eats more ice cream] I picked a good flavor.

What do you mean? Isn't it difficult, knowing he cannot and will not reciprocate how you feel? Doesn't it hurt? [shifts uncomfortably and takes another bite] I cannot taste it. The cold is nice, however.

Sometimes. [Blinks] You can't taste it?

[quietly] How do you ignore it? How do you make the hurting stop? [shrugs] I have no taste receptors, Rose Tyler. I'm a ship, what need have I of tasting food?

I find other things to think about. Sometimes it's other men, parties, work, my friends, and sometimes it's sitting down like this with my mum and watching a movie. [Slight smile] That makes sense. Too bad, ice cream really is good.

I see. [takes another bite of the ice cream, examining her toes as they dry] It is ... difficult ... for me to think of anything else. It never used to bother me. Why does it now?

Dunno. Could be because you're just letting it get to you.

[blinks and gives you an uncomprehending look, Rose] Letting what get to me? The natives' attacks have stopped and none of them have tried ambushing me. What else might be trying at the moment?

[Blinks] You're letting The Doctor get to you. What have the natives got to do with anything?

Of course I let the Doctor get to me. How else would he be able to get inside and hide from the natives trying to kill him?

T-that's not what I mean. I mean you're thinking about it too much.

And yet I cannot think of anything else. My life revolves around the Doctor. He is everything to me.

Ever tried thinking about something else? The people you've met in the past, the people you've met here? I dunno. Think about anything else.

[shakes her head] I have not, no. I suppose I can try that. [looks down at her toes] Though I must ask. Why? What made you love him?

Oh, I dunno. [Eats a spoonful of ice cream] I just...do.

[nods] He has that effect on people, doesn't he? [takes another bite as well, then glances at the movies] Do you have a preference for which to view? I'm not sure what to do with these.

I guess he does, yeah. [Looks through the movies, and holds up the Calcium Kid] This one is funny. And it's the only movie I've ever liked that has Orlando Bloom in it.

And yet he never realises. Always going on about friendship and bonds and having fun without realising those who travel with him see love. [pouts a bit, giving the movie a quick once over] I do not know who Orlando Bloom is, but something humourous would be welcome.

Well, he is a bit thick. [goes to put the movie in] Oh, yeah, good movie. Milkman accidentally becomes a boxer.

[ooc: I! have never seen, honestly. ; ;]

Only a bit? You're being kind, Rose Tyler. [tilts her head] A milkman ... becomes a boxer? How ... interesting.

I know I am, yeah. Don't tell him that, though. [Smiles and starts the movie] Yeah, on accident. You'll see.

[ooc: Oooh, sounds interesting! I'll have to see if I can find it~]

[laughs] I won't. I've no qualms telling him myself, however. [watches the movie a bit] This is entertainment to you?

Oh, I normally do, too. I meant don't tell him that I was being nice about it. [Smiles] It is, yeah.

[ooc: That shouldn't be too hard. It sounds familiar, too. My friend is a big OB fan, so she probably has it somewhere.]

Then of course I can honour your request. [grins] And this entertainment ... it is different. But not unpleasant.
