Chloe Saunders 001
Th-this… c-can’t be happening… [Chloe stumbles slightly, eyes wide as she stares up at the stars above her head—the surrounding area of the plane that looks as though it should be something out of a sci-fi movie. First the nightmare—which she was used to, though not to this caliber—then the shop keeper, that Sault woman, finding herself here. Her throat constricted.]
D-Derek?! [If he was anywhere nearby, he’d hear her, right?] Simon? Tori? A-Aunt Lauren?
Oh, no. No, no, no. [Panic seized in her chest. Her stomach twisted into knots. She would not panic. This had to be the St. Cloud Cabal’s doing: Sorcerer magic. She wouldn’t let them get to her.]
Okay, you found me. [She didn’t stutter. Good.] .] I know who you are, so you don’t need to pull this. The bad guys always go for the seemingly helpless girl, right? Where are the others? Where is my Aunt Lauren? Wh-where are Simon and Derek and Tori?
[Then she remembered. Derek. Werewolf. Expendable. She might be expendable.] I-I promise to c-cooperate so long as you don’t harm any of the others! [Did that sound too desperate? She didn’t care. If this was as bad as she assumed it was, she wasn’t taking any chances on the safety of her friends and family.
[She took a step forward. Then another. ‘Welcome to The Machine?’ What was this, more experimentation? She shuddered, lungs seizing in her chest.]
You can’t do this… [The words were whispered, horror in her tone. Then a fist clenched, and she glared at the general landscape. They wouldn’t win. They could never win. Alright, she was captured. Now it looked like she needed to find the others—and get answers. With a stride full of purpose, she stepped forward, anger lashing her tone as she warned whoever was behind this.]
You picked the wrong heroine to mess with, Sorcerer. [Damned if the others weren’t looking for her right now.]

[...The possum on her shoulder might help with that, yep.]
Hallo, gal! Ya new here?
no subject
N-new...here? Wh-where's here, exactly?
[Yep. She was new all right.]
no subject
The Plane, it's sort of... Well, odd. If I'm gonna be honest with you [And scratch her possum for a while, it's even better than scratching her head!] You can totally get home, though, if you're all worried about that!
no subject
I can get home?! [The words came out in a rush. Chloe's expression was so relieved and thrilled--she almost wanted to hug the girl simply for that piece of knowledge.]
Great. Where is here, though? Is this some kind of supernatural store, then? [It had to be, right? To exist where it never before existed? For this place to look as it does now? This young woman seemed to act like the Plane was natural to her--and nothing looked that natural to Chloe.]
no subject
Yep! [And is beaming anyway!] You just have to start walkin' and think about home, and then you can pop between both of 'em as quickly as anythin', really.
...Well, it's sorta a place between realities.

You know where they are? [Her tone was one of relief, though it quickly turned to suspicion.] Who are you, and what is this place? How do you know they aren't in any danger?
[They were always in danger.]

Go back and check? [Her words were hesitant. Could it really be that simple? She stared at the man again--at his odd dress and his stunning length of hair, wondering about his person before his words processed.]
M-magic?
[Suddenly her heart leaped to her throat, and she started to ever so slowly edge away, brows lowering in accusation and slight fear.] S-so you're a sorcerer, then! A-are you from a Cable? Did some other sorcerer bring me here?
[Suddenly her eyes were darting away, looking for a place to run.]

He approaches her cautiously, not wishing to alarm her any more than she already is.]
I can assure you, no one is looking to harm your friends. Although I must tell you, whoever you may think is behind this, it's very unlikely to be the case.
Lol Chloe and her jumping
How can you be so sure?
[She's baiting him. She'll question him until he slips--then she'll know for certain whether she should trust his word or not.]
no subject
That no one is looking to harm your friends, or that the person behind this isn't likely to be the one you think it is?
I can't be certain of the first, of course, particularly if your friends are back in your world and not here, but I can say that the nature of this place doesn't seem to be particularly malicious. Er. Not intentionally malicious.
As to the second, those responsible for this are almost certainly not of your world. But not to worry. I made the same mistake myself when I first arrived.
no subject
Both. [Her eyes narrowed in concentration as he spoke, already answering both of her questions.]
Not intentionally malicious? Those responsible? Who is responsible?
[Then she mentally backtracked, face going remarkably pale as she breathes her next words in a shocked whisper.] Wh-what do you mean 'my world.'

Do doctors run this place? Nurses? Do they shove incorrect analyses down innocent people's throats? [So there was a bit of tight anger lacing her tone, but after what she had been through, few should blame her.]

Looks like we have another live one. Welcome to the Astral Plane.
why hello there~ 8D
You get newcomers often? [Here's was a wry tone when she asked it.] Or should I ask whether many dead travel through here? [She may not want to know the answer to that, but better to be prepared, right?]
So...what...where...is this Astral Plane?
XD Crowley's going to get himself in trouble, isn't he?
If there are dead people who travel here, I either haven't met them or they're better at hiding their deadness than is at all comforting. I've seen my share of newcomers, really.
This is the Astral Plane. Kind of like a central hub that people from different worlds have access to.
XD Heeeee, maaaaaybeeeee~ maybe not~
How long have you been in this place, then?
LOL

What is this place?

[he quickly slips back into his cheerful welcoming committee mode, though] This is the Astral Plane, like I said. It's a multiuniversal--no, multidimensional nexus point. Basically, people come here from all over. And you can go back home whenever you want, too, so don't worry about that! Here, there's a kiosk with info brochures around here some--oh, over there. [he gestures before starting in that direction]
no subject
... [She stares for a moment in slight surprise by his words and abruptly cheerful demeanor, and a small smile forms as she moves to follow him, questions still multiplying in her head.]
Multidimensional nexus? It sounds awe-inspiring or horrifying, I can't tell which.
