christmas time is here again

[There is a sign pointing towards the ballroom, which has been decked out for Christmas. There is a tree waiting to be decorated. There is a table with cookies and a Christmas cake and snacks and things. There is a buffet line for dinner and a bar set up with champagne and eggnog and various drinks - alcoholic and non-alcoholic. There are paper cut out snowflakes hanging from the ceiling. There is mistletoe to be found in various spots. Karaoke in one corner. Sawako brought along her kitchen from home for the occasion to set up a Christmas cookie making station, too. There's music and gifts and food and drinks and mistletoe. What else could anyone want?]

[In a darker corner some mysterious figure brought along a Festivus Pole, too. There's room for wrestling for the Feats of Strength and a table set up so people can gather around for the Airing of the Grievances. Sawako has no idea where these things came from, but she's not about to infringe on someone's effort to celebrate the holidays.]

So what do you eat when I'm not around? Something simple, I presume?

Here on the Plane? Yeah. I mean, you'd be surprised what all the kitchen can come up with on its own.

[hypospraying]

Oh? What kind of things can it come up with?

Oh, you know, lots of options for like...sandwiches. And crisps. And plenty of snacks, too.

[hypospraying]

Mmm, sounds like you hardly need me here to help you cook then, if you have a magic kitchen.

[glances at her, a little hurt] Well, it's still not the same as homemade!

[hypospraying]

It's not? Well, that's something, at least. There; are we done?

[oliverplus]

Just...about...there! [last cookie duly covered in sprinkles. Oliver takes a look at their results] Do these ever look good! I think we did rather well.

[hypospraying]

I think so too. [She moves them onto a plate.] I hope everybody like them!

[oliverplus]

They will do! Watch, I'll prove it. [grabs a cookie and takes a large bite] Mmmm! Proven.

[hypospraying]

[She laughs and takes one too, taking a much more ladylike bite.] Mmm, good!

[oliverplus]

[grins, taking another bite]

Hey...thanks, Christine. This has been great!

[hypospraying]

Yeah, I've had fun. [She waves at him with her cookie.] But I should get back home now.

[oliverplus]

Yeah, you said... [can't help looking a bit reluctant]

Well, good luck with, you know, everything that's going on back there.

[hypospraying]

[She chuckles.] Don't worry. I'm sure I'll be back before you know it. Bye, and happy holidays! [She waves again, turns and walks a few steps, then vanishes.]
