[currently, the Doctor is crawling on the floor in the entrance of the ballroom, occasionally stopping to look and feel under the couches for something. he doesn't show it, but he's been rather shaken up--and he certainly is not happy]
Come on out! I know you're here somewhere. You've got to be! I felt you before you--[he pauses, his hand suddenly darting under a plush chair]--did whatever you did a few moments ago.
[ooc: The Doctor had to make a choice! When you tag in, I'll leave you a little message in his reply back so you know what's up~]

[But he is, isn't he? At least in some way. And this is what Ratatosk struggles with.
That and the fact that he can't keep his mouth shut.]

[He folds his arms.]
He's a fake personality. A decoy. The person inside him-- inside us-- is remembering. At least... that's what we've been told. When his memories come back, I'm pretty sure the wimpy me will disappear. Everything Emil's ever told you about where he's from was probably a lie, but even he was unaware of it until recently.

... Possibly. I don't know for sure, but I think he is. You should've never met him. Not like that, anyway. If something had happened, Marta or I could have been killed.

There's got to be a way to fix all this. Maybe help the three of you co-exist without any further memory loss or gain to any of you lot.

Also he's looking a little bit regretful. But Ten's just imagining it. Yeah.] ... I don't think it works that way. Even when I'm awake, I'm seeing someone else's memories.
Besides... don't you hate me?
no subject
[frowns] Hmm, is your very presence taking away the memories at the same time that you're seeing them, I wonder...
But why would I hate you? I don't hate anyone. [see: the Master. corollary to his statement: the Daleks that one time in his ninth incarnation...]

[He huffs a bit, but doesn't answer for a long moment.]
Everyone seems to like the wimpier me better, even Marta. It's not fair. [... He didn't mean to say that. Uh.]
no subject
Well, seeing as this is my first time properly meeting you, I have got to give you credit for not stabbing me in the stomach as you had done to another self.

You thought I was Ratatosk?
[Seems like Ten's tickled his little bit of uncertainty.]
Ratatosk is supposed to be in core form on Marta's forehead. He can't regain his powers and fully awaken until all of the Centurions are hatched.
How could he be me?

[He struggles a little bit more, staring down at his fist.]
Maybe I'm a fake personality, too. I might disappear with him. I don't know.
no subject
Exactly, you don't know--but you came from somewhere. [pauses] Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have a star-shaped birthmark, would you?
no subject
[Emil blinks, then nods.] Yeah, right above my collarbone.

[he sighs, rubbing the back of his neck] I was hoping it'd be different. Don't know why. It wasn't different for the other two.

[grumble bitch moan grumble]
We're all in the same body, moron. That's not gonna change.
no subject
[rolls his eyes] I didn't think it would, but I've seen stranger.
no subject
It didn't start with you. It started with that bastard, Crane. He gave me that news and then he pumped me full of something that made me kill people. So that wasn't exactly the best way to negotiate the idea I might be Aster.
[He rubs at his temples.] Something's off...

... yeah, that's the dead guy. The one everyone thinks I am.
What are you talking about?
