[during the current crisis, Oliver has taken shelter in the Plane's library. he is reclining in a comfortable chair, with a book on the floor in front of him--upside-down and open, as though it's slipped off his lap. he is just stirring from sleep, and sits up, causing the back of the chair to come up with him. he shakes his head, looking about groggily for an instant--then, instantly, he's on edge. he looks slowly around the room, contemplating it warily] Hey, is someone...? ...no.

[slowly, he reaches down to retrieve his book--something on Greek and Roman mythology, for the curious. but he's still stiff and edgy, glancing around him before he turns his gaze downward, flipping back to his page previous page. but instead of reading, he looks up again, tense] Who-who's there? I hear you!

... thanked me? [ Yeah, he has no idea what you might be thanking him for. ] Um, I... got out. 'pparently somebody else was trying to help me, too.

You did!? [grins] Sefton, that's great! So you're home now? I mean...when you can leave the Plane again?

[polarization]

Yeah, I guess. [ Inasmuch as the entire world is his home, when considering the scope of the Plane. ]

[oliverplus]

[grins brightly] Fantastic!

[polarization]

[ Shrugs. ] Oh. [ Reaches in his bag and rummages around for a small box, which he sets on the table and slides in Oliver's direction. ]

... sorry that took so long.

Cheers! [grabs the box as it slides toward him, but he raises an eyebrow at Sefton] What, you think I would've wanted you to give it to me when I was seven?

[polarization]

No, but... how long were you like that?

[oliverplus]

[makes a face] A couple weeks, I think.

[polarization]

[ Instead of asking about how Ollie dealt with not having his family around for that long and anything else that might be construed as personal, Sefton ignores the idea entirely. ] ... yeah, should've still gotten it t' you.

[oliverplus]

I haven't even seen you since then! It's all right. It hasn't been missed yet or anything. I'll give it back to Anna...well, soon as I can.

[polarization]

[ He nods, seeming more... down at the reminder of their current trapped state. ]

[oliverplus]

[frowns, noticing that] Hey...everything's on the Plane temporary, you know? This can't last too long.

[polarization]

S' [ upsetting ] annoying.

[oliverplus]

Yeah...I know.

At least we've got a library and a bar? Oh, and a kitchen!

[polarization]

[ Amused scoff at the mention of the bar. ] Too bad we don't have a hotel 'r something. ... the hot springs don't count.

[oliverplus]

[Oliver's priorities are obvious as always] Why not? They've got rooms, haven't they? And the ballroom's even got clothes!

[polarization]

'Cause. Just doesn't count. [ And he may have a Thing against it for being the first place on the Plane he saw, and... also the first place he was stuck for a while. ] ... 'n I'd like to see you wearing stuff from there.

[oliverplus]

[Oliver missed that event, but he catches a hint of that feeling and knows better than to press]

You probably will do! Unless a washing machine appears on the Plane. Actually, I wonder if that mansion's got one... Bet it's got lots of rooms, too!

[polarization]

[ Shrugs. ] It does.

[oliverplus]

What, you've been in there? I mean, if you're looking for a place to stay, that'd probably work. Wouldn't it?

[polarization]

... I was here for a while. Before. Had a lotta time to explore. [ Boy, his shoes sure are interesting right about now. ] Guess it would. Just felt... weird, being in there.

[oliverplus]

[way to keep him from finding out anything about how you're feeling, Sefton] You mean...'cause it's so, you know, huge? Yeah, I've never lived anywhere fancy like that. [smiles a bit sheepishly] But the library's not so bad, either.

[polarization]

[ Well, duh. That's kinda the point. ] Yeah. 'Cause of that. ... 'm used to here, anyway.

[oliverplus]

Ah...yeah...

Got any tips about camping out for a newcomer?
