[during the current crisis, Oliver has taken shelter in the Plane's library. he is reclining in a comfortable chair, with a book on the floor in front of him--upside-down and open, as though it's slipped off his lap. he is just stirring from sleep, and sits up, causing the back of the chair to come up with him. he shakes his head, looking about groggily for an instant--then, instantly, he's on edge. he looks slowly around the room, contemplating it warily] Hey, is someone...? ...no.
[slowly, he reaches down to retrieve his book--something on Greek and Roman mythology, for the curious. but he's still stiff and edgy, glancing around him before he turns his gaze downward, flipping back to his page previous page. but instead of reading, he looks up again, tense] Who-who's there? I hear you!
[ooc: Oliver has also made a choice! In your comment, please leave a note for me, either to PM you or your AIM/e-mail/whathave you so I can ask a question before he interacts with your character.]

[He sighs and lets go.]
You must've hit your head or something.

[frowns, lowering his gaze. that is really intense to look at] The Plane must be doing something again.
no subject
... Again? Don't tell me...

[and, ever the optimist:] At least you're not really on fire.

You weren't...taken to any weird room, were you?
no subject
No. What happened there?
no subject
I guess that must be why. [but he's clearly unhappy with that idea]
no subject
You guess? It's because of that that we're stuck here in the first place.
[He reins in his anger and turns away to ponder this change of events. So they're continuing to experiment on people even though they're trapped here. It figures, really... At the same time, depending on the kind of 'sight' given, it could become very useful.]
... If they wanted us to simply die they wouldn't play around with experiments beforehand. What do they have to gain from doing this?
no subject
[sighs] Who knows. It could just be somebody trying to take over the Plane again, but I don't know what messing with us does for them.

[He crosses his arms.]
What happened last time?
no subject
Uh...you weren't here yet for the death matches, huh?
no subject
[He does manage to look intrigued, at least.]
Death matches?

Why did it stop?
no subject
[his expression hardens] We stopped it. They would've kept killing people--they even said the same people could be called up and die again. We had to do something, so we worked together and made them stop.

[He runs a hand through his cockatiel-like bangs.] And it didn't work anyway. It's good to know that people here are useful for something. Whoever did this hasn't shown themselves... That's why you need to put together the clues and figure out who did it. You did it once. You can do it again.
