[nods, taking the glass appreciatively, and waits for her to set her own up] Hang around in enough pubs and you pick up a thing or two. Comes in handy for police work, as well. [lifts his glass] Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you just 'cause you're a skirt, though, got it?

{Pours herself a glass} I would hope you wouldn't! That wouldn't be fair at all. Though, you certainly have some strange names for women, you know that?

{And done! Diva picks up her glass as she takes a seat with a smile} Cheers, Gene~

The chinks and slanty-eyed gits, as you call them. I spent 1972 away from all the fighting, but 73 and 74, I had a false name and was listed as a combatant. That man...ah...Nguyễn Văn Thiệu, he thought it would be better for me to be more involved instead of just being a figurehead. I didn't much care for him. People in that kind of power...{Sigh} I'm not sure, they're not very nice people. Ah, but the soldiers were nice enough! It seemed like they just wanted to protect their home more than anything.

The thing about that, I can only stay awake for three years at a time. Then after that I have to sleep for thirty before I can wake up again. So things like that, I don't hear about them until later. I was there for the events leading up to the Russian Revolution, and Grigori was blamed for the Imperial family's fall, but I was asleep by the time it actually happened.

[Gene does not understand this concept of taking his time] What's the point of these...Chevalier blokes?

Well...They're kind of like my bodyguards. It started out with Amshel...Just because I didn't know anything about the world outside my tower, so I really wanted Amshel to be by my side rather than me be alone.

But then "one more" turned into three or four. I can tell Amshel really likes having the power of my blood, like my other Chevalier, so...They started out as bodyguards, but it changed more into a secret way for any person to gain power. My blood can bring the dead and dying back to life, so it's a last resort offered to those people usually. {She takes a drink again, setting the glass back down to run her finger over its rim thoughtfully}

Chevalier are supposed to live for their Queen, but it's more like they live for themselves. They're all really powerful and influential people now. But they don't really care about me as anything other than the source of their power, probably~
