[The Doctor, after an encounter with a certain Time Lord who shall remain nameless, is utterly and completely smashed, thanks to some hot springs hijinks. He is also utterly and completely naked, and sprawled out in one of the indoor mineral baths.

He's got a ridiculously fake grin plastered (pun intended) all over his face as he fiddles with his indigo ring, inspecting it with his sonic screwdriver. Both of which are clearly awesome bath toys. Feel free to go wtf at him, especially because he is humming "Tainted Love" to himself during all this. Off-key. Clearly he should stick to dancing in this regeneration.]

The latter will suffice. And perhaps prove to be the most helpful in that particular line of questioning.

My Tenth? Again I've got to ask, which one? There are lots of him. There's one with a Master, one with no Master, and the Ape.

I imagine any of them would suffice.

'Cause that's what you lot are? Humans, apes, same difference to me. Don't mean anything bad by it. I like apes. You're my favourite, really. Especially the clever ones.

Perhaps it is time to point out again that I am the one wearing clothing and not the one with a particular affinity for bananas.

[...smirks] Touché. Could do with a banana or two right about now, actually. Prolly shouldn't have had those drinks on an empty stomach, but I wasn't expecting to get drunk off them.

[she watches him]

[he closes his eyes briefly, nodding once] Sounds about right, yes.
