[this is Lucy. this is Lucy sitting quietly off to some random side of the Plane, resting in a wide, comfy chair, legs tucked beneath her and reading a book. what book? a random one she snatched from the TARDIS library that gives some (very) truncated history on Gallifrey. why? because her husband has currently gone a mite bonkers and thinks himself someone else. it really, really sucks. so she's doing some reading and hoping to find some answers.

[as a matter of fact, he has a datapad on him with information] the lengths vary. Anywhere from a day, like the stealing experiment, to a few weeks, like with the language barriers.

I've only got limited data on experiments on individuals. Misaki's seemed to last a month or so, but I didn't realize something was wrong until later. I've never had one affect me. What about you?

No, the Twins have never bothered me. They seemed to do something with Diva, though, but she was quite pleased with it. I suppose that means they don't only harm those of us here.

[falters] W-what I saw in your mind had to have been some very clever trick. If it wasn't, why would you do this? That was more than just choosing the Master. You hurt the only thing I have in the universe. You tried to strand me! And you did it all with a song in your heart.

It isn't all harmful, but it's hardly safe. Who knows what the effects of having Rassilon and Omega's minds inside of them will be.

A human, trick a Time Lord? Now who's being daft? [looks away] And just how did that song sound, exactly, since you seem to know so much?

[sniffs loudly] And you're worried for what? That Harry and your other self might inherent some of that power?

How can you stand there and tell me it wasn't? Trying to make it worse, are you? "Oh, Doctor, it was real, but it just wasn't good enough..."

No. Though the thought of the Master with Rassilon's power is fairly terrifying, the two of them might get swallowed by those currently dominant personalities.

You really are thick. Do you have any idea how much I want to hate you, you fumbling imbecile? I want to and I can't and I haven't the foggiest idea why!

[she needs to take a few deep breaths and walk away from you a minute, Doctor. give her a sec] So you're saying Harry could disappear forever and all that would be left is a man with his face and no idea who I am?

Lucy--- [steps towards her, then hesitates, and then goes cold]Try a little harder, Mrs. Saxon. I'm sure you'll find the emotion quickly enough.

Yes, exactly. And all of the things you've done will be for naught. So! Let's see if we can't make a plan.

[now you get the book thrown at you] You bloody oaf!

Why don't we just trade you for them, hmm? I'm sure the Twins can find so many uses for a doddering idiot such as yourself.

[book hits him in the shoulder and he rubs the spot where it hit] You're the one who wanted to be even. Angry now? Now try a dash of betrayl and a year of painful repairs. That would make us even, Mrs. Saxon. We'd be just about square.

You know, they might. Why don't you ask them? Or we could figure out something that would work.

I never wanted anything from you! I tried telling you so many times, but you just kept pushing, didn't you? None of this would have happened if you hadn't pushed! It's your fault and now we both get to suffer for it!

Oh yes, why don't you offer up one of your wonderful ideas, Doctor? I'm sure nothing disastrous will happen if you do.

But you just couldn't give him up. Now we're here. He's with his Doctor and we're alone.

Even if it doesn't, no loss to you, is there? Maybe you should just walk away, Doctor. Then we really would be even.
