[The Doctor is back around! Well, more or less. He technically didn't leave, he's just been avoiding the Plane entirely. He would rather still be away but lately he prefers sitting somewhere away from the TARDIS while he does his work. It’s more relaxing to take a stroll through space.

Speaking of work, he’s completely engrossed in a data pad. He’s scrolling through it with a stylus, occasionally stopping to click something or read longer. Once or twice, his reading is accompanied by a small holographic projection of various planets above the screen.

He’s taken to walking around the empty space, mostly following the arms of a spiral galaxy. Get his attention if you want him!]

We've set up a sort of pathway or railroad. We're calling it the Constellation. Basically we're finding Contractors who want freedom and helping them get out of Tokyo and away from the Syndicate. We help them travel to different points on the Constellation and help them hide wherever they decide to settle.

[That makes him smile a bit.] The Constellation. Guiding them to safety using the stars.

[He beams.] That's the idea. We've even named all the points after stars. It's cheesy, but I like it. Us in Sapporo are Polaris.

Polaris! A very appropriate name. I don't think it's cheesy at all. Well, maybe it is a bit but I like it. It's hopeful. Is it working well?

We've gotten a handful of Contractors out already, so it seems to be working alright. We're going to need to figure out a more failsafe way for the Syndicate not to figure out what we're doing, or where the points are.

[He nods.] Which makes this an excellent time to bring up that if you can think of a way that I can help, I would be glad to.

[Bzuh what.] Oh, uh. I mean. I don't--well, thank you, but I can't think of anything right now... [Hei fails at asking for/accepting help.]

{He smiles.] Well, if you do, I'd be happy to provide any assistance.

I'll remember that. Thank you.

Good! -Oh! Right, yes. I haven't really had time between various events to gather any really interesting ingredients but I do have something. [He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a vial of a smooth, deep blue liquid, holding it out.] This is sap from from a Belvie tree. Excellent in noodle dishes. It has a sort of...candy quality, actually. Strange sounding, yes, but excellent once you actually taste it. It's just sweeter. A little goes a long way but I imagine you'll manage.

[He stares at it a moment before taking the vial and giving it a little shake and smiling.] This is...well, thank you. I always love working with new things. [He shakes it again.] It's, ah, very blue though.

Well, I think it's a very nice blue, personally.

[He laughs.] Azure will probably like it. And it should certainly make the noodles...unique.

Azure? Another Contractor?

That's right. One of the first I met. Well, one of the first I met that's part of the current team.

Do they like blue?

...Actually I'm not too sure how much she likes the color. She has blue streaks in her hair, but... [He shrugs.] It's the name they gave her. The Syndicate has a thing for themes--colors, dates, animals...

Oh, I see. Well, I do hope they can enjoy it. Do you do cooking for them?

[A somewhat exasperated smile.] More often than not. Particularly Bindy. She likes to take advantage of it. But my apartment has become a sort of...base of operations it seems, so they're over for dinner most of the time.

[He smiles.] It looks like you enjoy it.

[Tiny blush.] Oh, well...I guess it's nice having, you know, people around again.

I'm glad you're able to help them.

[Beams!] Me too. Thanks.
