[The Doctor is back around! Well, more or less. He technically didn't leave, he's just been avoiding the Plane entirely. He would rather still be away but lately he prefers sitting somewhere away from the TARDIS while he does his work. It’s more relaxing to take a stroll through space.

Speaking of work, he’s completely engrossed in a data pad. He’s scrolling through it with a stylus, occasionally stopping to click something or read longer. Once or twice, his reading is accompanied by a small holographic projection of various planets above the screen.

He’s taken to walking around the empty space, mostly following the arms of a spiral galaxy. Get his attention if you want him!]

Mm, somewhere in the twenties. Twenty-five? I believe it was.

You've figured anything out yet?

Just enough to understand everything that's going on and not enough to decide how to deal with it.

[carefully, because "everything" is relative]

And what exactly is everything?

Oh, reality bomb, missing planets, you, Dalek army... [Starts going through the data pad.] I gathered the stars and Rose bits from, well, Rose.

Well, that really is everything, isn't it.

Takes a bit of the surprise out of things, having all these warnings. Still, with the head start hopefully you'll be able to sort it all out better than we did.

I rather hope so. Not that you lot botched it but I'd rather avoid several of those steps if I can.

Probably best for everyone involved if you could. It was a bit botched up, if we're being honest. I can't really think of anyone it turned out well for. Well, the universe, there's that. Universes were saved. But still, the rest of it, rather botched up if I do say so.

I was trying to say it politely. [He frowns.] Donna is with us. I'd rather not...well. Any suggestions?

[rolls his eyes]

[his expression softens and he sighs and has a matching frown as he thinks on this]

I tried creating a Z-Neutrino biological inversion catalyser. Thought since Davros' genetic code runs through the entire Dalek race, we could use the catalyster to lock the Crucible's transmission onto Davros himself, create a backfire, and bam, the bomb erases the Daleks out of existence instead of the universes. Never got a proper chance to test it out though. When I tried to Davros, well Davros stopped me, so I'm not entirely sure if something like that would even work.

[The Doctor thinks about it, tapping the data pad.]

It seems sound in theory. How many are there?

How many what? Planets? Twenty seven, including Earth.

No, actually, the Daleks.

Oh.

[pause]

Too many. Proper Dalek fleet, not like the last few we've faced. Billions and billions, enough to slaughter the entire cosmos even without the Reality Bomb.

[There's a pause as he considers this. It's definitely not the happiest thought he's had. In fact, he looks down for a second to control the sudden surge of emotions, ones he's probably been logically cutting off in all his plans.]

Wonderful.

Yeah, sorry.

[actually does feel bad that the Doctor has to deal with them now and he will think for a moment.]

Donna figured out a way before to control their movements. She trip-stitched the circuit-breaker in the psycho-kinetic threshold manipulator. Sent them all spinning out of control. Not something the other you ever managed to think of though, so...

[thinks some more on this and is now struggling to be useful, because, Daleks suck and he feels bad]

Some of the planets are out of time, too. It might be the planets you're missing there on your data pad. Pyrovilia and Melissa Majoria. They're the two you're missing I think. That will give you twenty seven, if you're including Earth in that, too.

[He starts counting and running numbers through the data pad.]

Mm, that makes sense... [He lapses into silence as he enters in the rest of the data Handy mentioned and scratches at his neck.] Blimey. All right. If they're all connected, that should make it easier, I suppose.

It was all sort of sprung on us, so I'm not really sure what would've happened if we had a proper chance to plan. Then again, someone else was sort of planning it all out for us anyway.

[thinks some more]

You know about Caan's part in it all too, right?

Caan, yes. I did hear about him. That worked to our advantage. We managed to get a trace on that specific Dalek biological signal.

Oh, really? That's brilliant. That should give you lot a good jumping off point I'd think.

Mhm, we're almost there. [He taps the data pad quietly.] We're thinking of going in alone.

Alone?

[nods]

That might be best, yeah. Cut down on any chance of well... [scratches the back of his neck] ...yeah, that's good.

[He laughs slightly.] Right, two of us alone against a dozen fleets of Daleks. Should go smoothly.

[sheepish grin] Shouldn't be too difficult.

Mm, it should be soon, then. They still need Earth...
