016 - As The World Falls Down

[There is a new arrival to the plane.

One that is quite large.

And expansive garden labyrinth has appeared, stretching as far as it is wide. The hedges are tall and well groomed, and it in all but impossible to see over any of the walls. Throughout the structure, there are many points to rest, ornately carved stone benches frames with flowers. Especially tuberose.

It is her favorite, after all.

At the very center sits Reinette on the wall of a stone fountain. Water flows from several wells within a stone Minotaur, coating its surface so that it reflects that distant lights of the Plane.

She is reading]

[She continues to read, though the voice is heard quite clearly. She does not recognize it, and an eyebrow raises in subtle disagreement]

Even the minotaur couldn't hide from the sky, or from what his blood told him to be.

{She could just cheat and jump them all, but no! She will play fair today. So Diva is running along the pathways, laughing every time she comes to a dead end, which is fairly often.

[Reinette catches snatches of the sounds of her laughter, and recognizes the voice. She is content to read her book, and wait]

[Axel calmly strolls through the maze, whistling to himself.]

[she listens to the whistling, quietly enjoying the way the notes are arranged]

[Hei is wandering rather idly through the maze, wondering where it came from. He has a pretty good sense of direction, so he's slowly making his way toward the center.]

[there is the sound of more footsteps, and she waits]

Haaa! [Sorry, Reinette, but have a Pino running through the maze, yelling and laughing at the top of her non-existent lungs. She makes sure to check absolutely every turn, corner and dead end, forming a mental map in her head almost unconsciously. She'll be able to find her way out almost instinctively, and she's making her loud and giggly way toward the middle.]

[There is a little green snake emerging into the centre of the labyrinth (because he cheats and went through the hedges instead of through the maze).]

[placing her book aside, she curiously studies the new arrival. She is almost certain she could not have brought it with her]

[Brigitta trots into the middle of the maze fairly promptly, because she's good at climbing and doesn't care much for pristine hedges. She spots the statue of the minotaur and turns her face away from it slightly but is still smiling] What a nice puzzle.

[Being able to go through walls, One finds the center and Reinette and looks distinctly unimpressed- though that's not anything new.

But this is getting a little ridiculous.]

I find it refreshingly simple.

[One moment Ace is walking through deserted city streets, the next her feet are on soft grass and a rose brushes against the side of her hand. She keeps close to the tall hedge, picking a single surface to follow like she's been taught. The floral-scented air is a change from the stuffiness of the Citadel and she breaths in deeply.

It's not until she reaches the center of the maze that she comes across another person. Ace pauses in the shadows and watches.]

[it is the rare occasion in which Reinette is unaware, content to turn the page of her book]

[a voice floats through the flora, pleasantly amused] So we've you to thank for the new addition?

[he approaches with a light, gliding step, confident as his smile]

[at his arrival she does three things, in a very precise order. There is a brief, small smile. Her book is set aside. And then a single eyebrow arches in question]
