[A small, dark-haired woman in a long, dark blue velvet cloak appears on the Plane. She is pale, with blood red lipstick and dark makeup around her eyes--eyes that look strikingly unnatural even at first glance. They are a pale, vivid blue, with a kind of radial starburst pattern in the color.]
[She stops, quite suddenly, and looks around before taking another tentative step forward.]
What is this place? I don't remember—
That shop, what was it? Those children...are they the cause of this?
[Another step, and she reaches up to drop the hood of her cloak]
Are my eyes deceiving me? But why would I see the stars? Not darkness, but beauty...is this a dream? No bodies, no surgeons....
A wonderful dream, then.

Where I'm from, the Sorceresses look like you. [By which she means "beautiful, graceful, ageless and slightly imposing". Not that she'd say as much, because that... requires words.]
But I can't tell if you're a Good one or a Bad one, so I figured I ought to ask, because I have to protect this place, and if you're a Bad Witch I ought to know about it. It's nothing personal, y'understand!

Where I come from, witches and sorceresses only exist in fairy stories. I am known as Blind Mag; I'm a singer.

[She gives a little curtsy, which is kind of funny since she's got blue jeans on, but whatever. Politeness!]
My name's Dorothy. I'm a... well, I'm a lot of things, really. What sort of singer are you? If y'don't mind me askin'.

It's a pleasure to meet you Dorothy. I'm an opera singer...have you never heard of the Genetic Opera?

No, Miss, I can't say as I have. But that's nothing special-- I'm a farmgirl, y'see, and I'm not very well cultured in that sort of thing.
[That's ignoring the fact of her being a princess in another world, there. But this lady is new, and... y'know, baby steps.]

Dorothy, would you be able to tell me what this place is?

Oh! And there are a couple people who all have the same face, but they're all different, so you have to remember which one is which.
