[ 1 ] - tanto tempo fa

[A small, dark-haired woman in a long, dark blue velvet cloak appears on the Plane. She is pale, with blood red lipstick and dark makeup around her eyes--eyes that look strikingly unnatural even at first glance. They are a pale, vivid blue, with a kind of radial starburst pattern in the color.]

[She stops, quite suddenly, and looks around before taking another tentative step forward.]

What is this place? I don't remember—

That shop, what was it? Those children...are they the cause of this?

[Another step, and she reaches up to drop the hood of her cloak]

Are my eyes deceiving me? But why would I see the stars? Not darkness, but beauty...is this a dream? No bodies, no surgeons....

A wonderful dream, then.

It is pretty, isn't it? But it's not a dream, at least. That might be a good thing, since that means this place is real...

Nope. It's real.

[Up wanders a 12 year old emocake]

Not a dream.

Oh, it's fine! It's hard to notice at first, I think. I mean, since this place is so surprising.

But this place is called the Astral Plane, Miss. It's where a bunch of realities actually come together, and you can meet people from all kinds of places.

You know, I thought it was a dream, too. Considering I never dream, that felt like something important.

It wasn't, though. Well, isn't.

No, not your eyes---though those are extremely unusual eyes---it's a dimensional transitive field. An illusion, covering a temporal shift.

You're in another universe.

[HELLO MAG, here's a girl who thinks you're probably the prettiest lady she's ever seen. She's going to stand around scuffing her silver shoe against the ground, surreptitiously peeking at you, trying to get up the courage to ask the question that's hovering around her brain-- which she eventually does, because Dorothy Gale is made of courage.]

...Are you a Good Witch, or a Bad Witch?

I know. But it's as real as home. If you want to go back, just think it.

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no joke. Wouldn't be much of a joke, would it? Maybe a practical joke, what with all of the star creations, the drugging it would take to bring you here...do you know why they call it "practical"? Doesn't seem like there's anything practical about it!

[wide grin]

You want to go back now? But you just made it here!

[identity profile] grand-gaia.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Not at all. People come and go from here all the time.

An outside universe that connects all sorts of universes. You and I? We might be from completely different universes, timelines, anything.

[It's a tragic curse. :|]

Where I'm from, the Sorceresses look like you. [By which she means "beautiful, graceful, ageless and slightly imposing". Not that she'd say as much, because that... requires words.]

But I can't tell if you're a Good one or a Bad one, so I figured I ought to ask, because I have to protect this place, and if you're a Bad Witch I ought to know about it. It's nothing personal, y'understand!
