[looks back at the Fortress, obviously torn. it's one thing to consider this possibility, it's another thing to face it and she's having trouble believing the worst in her husband, even with her memories intact]

[exasperated, but still avoiding] Too many people I care about have died on the Plane, Lucy. I'm not about to let you end up on that list.

[considers him, then walks past him toward her 'bedroom,' intent on picking up a few things] I have to see him sometime, Doctor. You can't lock me away forever.

[and a glance over her shoulder] Have they now? And who might that be?

All of which we can discuss later. I'm not going to lock you up, but I promised you I'd keep you safe, and I will.

[begins rummaging through her things, packing a few knick-knacks away before turning to face him again]

I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what happened. Did you fight? Is that why you won't tell me?

Yes, we fought. It's hardly a new thing! And I'm not letting you or anyone else wind up in the middle!

[her jaw goes slack and a good deal of the fight goes out of her] Is Harry hurt? Is he okay? You didn't hurt him, did you?

But you're here. You're okay. Is he okay? [wrings her hands together, beseeching] Is my husband okay, Doctor? Just answer me that and I'll go wherever you want. I'll even discuss Miss Jones with you. Just ... please. Will Harry be okay?

[there's some realization on his face, which isn't nearly easy enough to cover up. Then, he nods.]

He left to get help. The other me won't let him die. He wouldn't let himself die.

I-I'm sorry, Lucy. I'm so sorry.

[nods listlessly, sinking to her bed and staring ahead] Die. Harry could have died. You're here, you're okay, but Harry is...

[shakes her head, taking a very deep breath, and meets his gaze] I don't want your apologies, Doctor. Only an explanation. But that can be had elsewhere. [holds out her hand] I promised.

[follows him off the Plane and to his TARDIS, where she immediately retreats to the wall and simply watches him, waiting for an explanation, her own mind racing with possibilities and guilt and a thousand other emotions she wouldn't know how to name if she tried]

Martha's dead, I think you heard. She was shot.
