[This here is where a softball is going to come whizzing past the Doctor's head and very nearly smash several rather important and slightly dangerous-looking components of whatever sciencey nonsense he's working on. Thankfully it doesn't break anything, and instead continues on its merry softball way...

...But it's shortly followed by a slightly panicked-looking and highly apologetic young woman with a worn old baseball glove on her left hand and a battered Kansas City Royals cap.]

Raw time energy. It's in a state of flux here, not moving forwards or backwards. But if you change the placement of the energy... [the machine whirrs to life and the green light starts to swirl]
