[Everyone will no doubt notice a new addition to the Plane: a giant Christmas tree. Yes, it’s decorated. Lights, ornaments, candy canes, the works. EVEN TINSEL. Tinsel rocks. Lots of tinsel, really.

There are also quite a few presents stacked under the tree. Each is addressed to a person on the Plane with hilariously appropriate - or possibly inappropriate - wrapping paper.

There is a sign near the tree which reads, “Thank you very much for helping us. Please accept a gift, completely and utterly free. It is our payment. We feel you’ve earned it! Did you know some trees stay green in the winter? But they‘re so prickly.”

At the bottom of the sign a small scribbled note reads, “We tried to bake cookies but even we wouldn’t eat those.”]

[WALL-E rolls up to the tree, on the basis that it's quite possibly the shiniest thing he's ever seen - aside from the Plane itself, of course. He carefully pokes at a low-hanging ornament.]

[Suiseiseki sees what you did there, WALL-E! so she gives you a severe look and slaps your hand thingy] You aren't supposed to touch those, desu! They might fall off and break.

[WALL-E jumps in surprise at the slap and spins to look at Suiseiseki -- which means, of course, that his other arm comes around and knocks the ornament off of its branch to the ground--

. . . where it shatters. DDDD8 Please hold as WALL-E freaks out and gurgles unhappily, before lowering himself to the floor to try to put the ornament back together.

[jumps back, surprised] See? I told you to be more careful, desu!

[He gives the broken ornament one last forlorn nudge before he moves back onto his treads] [He taps his hands together anxiously.]

[She huddles down next to him, smiling.] It's called a Christmas ornament. And the big tree is called Christmas tree.

[He gives an appreciative "" at the explanation and picks off some tinsel from the tree. He examines it curiously, before draping it over his eyes.]

Yes! It's my favorite holiday. [She pulls a length of garland off the tree and drapes it around him.]

[He coos in fascination, lifting up one end of the garland to get a better look at it, but he keeps it on. He gingerly nudges a bulb on a strand of Christmas lights -- these, at least, he recognizes! -- and rolls back to prod gently at the boxes stacked underneath the tree with one of his treads.]

Oh, these are presents! Do you know what presents are? [She sorts through several boxes before finding one labeled with Wall-E's name.] See, this has your name on it, so it means that it belongs to you.

[WALL-E chirps at Henrietta when she finds his gift (after having been distracted with carefully picking a particularly shiny plastic ornament off of the tree, which he'll be replacing).]

[He picks off the stick-on bow and after experimentally tapping his finger against the sticky bit, he plops it on his topmost panel. Not surprisingly, he seems pretty satisfied with this!]

[She giggles again.] That's very pretty, but there's something inside the paper, too.

[He gurgles softly in curiosity before carefully taking the box from Henrietta; he turns it over in his hands, then looks a bit lost as to what to do from there.]

[She shows him one of the seams of the wrapping paper.] You open it. Pull off the paper, see?

[O-open it? D: He looks a little hesitant at that, but at length he does caaarefully tuck the tip of his finger under one of the seams and caaaaarefully uses it to break the tape. He's going a bit slow -- he clearly wants to save the paper. >: ]

[She helps him, as human fingers are a bit more... maneuverable.]

[AND BY THEIR POWERS COMBINED-- the paper is removed in one piece! Huzzah! WALL-E carefully folds it, and after popping down his front panel, he places it inside his chest.

And now we have the problem of the box. :|a He inspects it critically before slowly taking off the lid, and-- oh ho ho, it's a wind chime! *___* It's a bit plain looking, but WALL-E doesn't mind. He lifts it out of the box and coos in adoration at the low tones the metal bars make when they knock against each other.]

[She is delighted at his pleasure.] Oh, you like it? I'm glad! It's beautiful.

Hello, WALL-E.

[He spins at the sound of the voice and bounces, waving a hand.]
