002

[Handy doesn’t appear on the Plane, as much as he is walking the Plane.  He hasn’t left since he found Reinette earlier.  His clothes are stained with blood, as are his hands.  He has been walking aimlessly.  Still shaken from what happened.

Finally he stops.  Not wanting to walk anymore.  His legs are tired.  He is tired.  He sits down.  Relieved to be off his feet.  Crossing his legs, fingers tapping the floor, eyes studying the stars below.]

Why is everyone always so sur----

[and is knocked over with a WHOOSH of air]

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-09 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
[it hits, but the Doctor attempts to flip them both over]

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
[the Doctor pins him in place and it's rather unusual, fighting like this with oneself, he imagines]

Don't blame me!

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
It's your fault not----

[air leaves him with the knee to the stomach, and he cries out as he falls backwards. Good thing he hadn't eaten anything, he'd have probably lost it!]

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
[and dodge! Followed by his own attack on the nose of his attacker]

Because you were there and I wasn't?

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[and the Gallifreyan words that come out of the Doctor's mouth at THAT impact are probably not suitable for a 7 pm timeslot if they translated]

It has nothing to do with Lucy!

I don't know. It must be this place, things that shouldn't be are bleeding through. Bleeding through too early, causing paradoxes.

[sits up gingerly, wincing. Well, it's a good thing he doesn't use his joy department all that often anyway, because he's not going to for a while after that]

Good. [which is not sincere, and he hands him a handkerchief]

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
It's impossible. If she died in her timeline then she died. The universe will have to compensate.

[winces again and rubs his jaw]

I've heard stories about the Plane bringing people back, but the logistics of it make no sense. This is a machine, it isn't a God.

Had our nose broken before, don't be so dramatic. And it was a lot bigger back then, so it probably hurt worse.

[sitting up is too painful, so he lays back down]

Only way to find out now is to wait.

[sigh]

Did she say anything else?

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-10 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, well, stop complaining about it.

[grumble]

It really is, though. Very her.

[sad chuckle]

She was always too hard-headed. Too stubborn.

[looks up at the stars]

Looks all right to me.

[he could just be being contrary, though]

Come on, I'll get you to the TARDIS, get that bandaged up.

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2008-11-12 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I broke it. I'm told I don't fix what I break often enough.

[winces and stretches, trying not to hold the part of him that hurts, then leads the way to his TARDIS]
