041: Hey, It's Just an Ordinary Day

[Hei appears on the Plane in a nice armchair, a coffee table and a widescreen TV. There's various plates of half-eaten food on the table that Hei is slowly working through, as well as a stack of papers with handwritten notes on them. Some of them look to be notes about cars again, but there's also some scribbles with a few Tokyo districts written down, as well as what look like details about them.]

[For now, though, Hei seems to be preoccupied with what's on the TV. Namely, I Love the 70's. 1974, to be exact--and even more specifically, the segment on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Deadpool got Hei to watch I Love the 80's, and Hei decided to follow up :|]

Killing someone with a chainsaw wouldn't be very efficient, though...

{And nibbling on the tart, she watches the television for a while before commenting dryly} Humans really are strange. I mean, that fashion, it's terrible.

That tends to be fashion, but this is a little extreme.

It's a bit funny, though. You know, Sam is from this time.

Oh, don't remind me. I try and ignore it.

[Laughs.]

But I can forgive him, since he's actually from that era. Otherwise, I'd definitely have to find someone else.

[contract_star]

[Keeps chuckling, though he's not sure if she's serious or not.] Over his clothes, really?

[madamemoiselle]

Not really, no. I mean, I could always buy him a new wardrobe if I really wanted.

{Sweetly} I'm not that shallow, at least.

I didn't think you were.

[madamemoiselle]

{She smiles} If it were that simple, I certainly wouldn't love Sam as much as I do.

Ah, you know, that reminds me. Deadpool and I, we had a conversation the other day. And he said something that I thought was kind of interesting. I'm changing for Sam, right? Deadpool said that was a silly thing to do. He said "What good is being with someone if you have to change for them to like you? What good is throwing everything away to be with someone if it just makes you feel more alone?"

What does Hei think about that?

[Long pause.]

I think...it seems like a relationship is about being able to make allowances. Sacrifices. It's alright to change a little bit, I suppose, but that also means that the other person should also be making some changes or sacrifices. So I guess...do you think Sam is changing anything for you?

[madamemoiselle]

He was willing to die, basically, just so that I'd be free. {Softly} But...Sam doesn't feel the same way, remember? I love Sam more than I can bear, but he doesn't love me. We're friends.

So I don't really know.

[contract_star]

...This isn't really my area of expertise, but...you and Misaki and Ikki and Ryotarou and Mu and the others...you're friends, and maybe some of you don't like certain things about my life, but you don't...I guess the thing is, you all don't hold it against me.

[Small smile, because this is weird to talk about but kind of nice.] But then again, maybe it's alright to ask someone to change when you're worried they might get hurt.

[madamemoiselle]

{Nods} That makes more sense then. I was worried that Deadpool was right, really! Ah, but he also attacked me, but that wasn't any problem.

...He what.

[madamemoiselle]

He cut me, you know? I said something that made him angry, I guess, so he cut me really badly across my chest. Ah, but when I grabbed the sword, he seemed to realize what he was doing, at least. It healed, so it's no problem.
