[Everyone missed the Doctor, right? Of course. But today is a bit different.

You see, he's talking to a plant. The plant is on a metal, rounded picnic table and he brought a tree that appears to be going through autumn and an area of grass with it from whatever planet he was on. But the important part is that he's sitting at the table with a sandwich, eating it and talking to this plant]

You know, you really are brilliant. ...No, really! I mean that. Sane, nice, loves Elvis. Also, you're not violent. You have no idea what a rarity that is these days.

[he shakes his head with a sigh and keeps munching on his sandwich and talking to the plant]

Then why bother?

Because someday in the future, you may or may not ruin my thinking abilities and I'll be reduced to talking to plants. I'm getting a headstart.

[the Master laughs] Preparing to learn the native tongue of the vegetable, then.

[rolls his eyes] Did your self mention what he's done? I imagine so but it will save time if I don't have to explain it.

[he drapes an arm around Ten's shoulders all friendly-like] Oh, he might've. Self and I rarely keep things from each other.

[he just sighs at you, Master] Right, well, he's going to drive me mad.

[he purrs] You mean you aren't already?

I like to think I'm not that mad.

Ah, well. You're obviously well on the way.

That's really not a good thing, Master. Frankly, he pushed it a bit far.

Somehow I don't tremble at the thought of you being utterly mad. [a half shrug, as he still totally has arm around shoulder] You're perfectly fine, Doctor. He could have permanently maimed you instead of leaving you in one piece.

[sighs] It wasn't really the torture, exactly. He did that to me enough during the year. ...Well all right, it's partly that. I really thought we were beyond that sort of thing. But the betrayal, too, and insisting on keeping those things and...it's really quite difficult to be mad at him since he was ill but I still am.

Allow me to offer an alternative. He could have tortured you... or he could have tortured one of your little friends. Does that make you feel better about the whole thing?

...Did I mention you have the strangest idea of comfort?

[he grins :D] As long as it works.

Really, you'll drive me completely batty.

What, it didn't help?

No, it... [leaning against him slightly] All right, I'm not exactly mad anyway. I'm frustrated that we don't agree on this. You just can't use Clade of all things to fight Daleks. We'll be fine on our own.

[he continues to purr. interestingly, cats tend to purr when they've captured prey - not just out of satisfaction of the hunt BUT to sooth and calm their prey] Let Self have his fun, Doctor. I know about the Clade, and if I see anything worrying, I'll keep him safe.

[This information is mildly concerning but the Doctor isn't thinking about it, so good for him!] I suppose you would...But generally, summoning things to help you just sort of...backfires. Not to dig up old memories or anything, just sort of a note on that.

[the Master is using his natural talents against you] Ahhhh, yes... well, we're better prepared this time.

[damn you, kitty Master] If you say so. I'm not apologizing for being angry with him, though.

[a winner is him!] Fine. As long as you aren't giving Self a hard time, it doesn't matter.

He gives me a hard time.
