You see, he's talking to a plant. The plant is on a metal, rounded picnic table and he brought a tree that appears to be going through autumn and an area of grass with it from whatever planet he was on. But the important part is that he's sitting at the table with a sandwich, eating it and talking to this plant]

You know, you really are brilliant. ...No, really! I mean that. Sane, nice, loves Elvis. Also, you're not violent. You have no idea what a rarity that is these days.

[he shakes his head with a sigh and keeps munching on his sandwich and talking to the plant]

It is! I've had all sorts of cuisine across time and space but honestly? There's some things that are hard to top. A decent sandwich is one of them.

They are quite nice. I always liked trees and all their cousins. I've known some very nice plant types. ...And some very rude ones. The nice outweigh them, I think.
