Sam can love me! He has no reason to use me!

[laughs] Ha! Typical. Leave it to a monster to think they can be loved, especially by one who upholds the law. You're nothing but a murderer. What could he possibly see you in?

If he didn't see anything, then he wouldn't bother with me! He wouldn't invite me on a walk, or to his apartment, or anything like that!

Unless, of course, he simply wanted to use you. He is a man, after all, and I've come to understand that sort of behaviour is typical of human males.

...Sam would never. {D: He's too much of a virgin, really. Even if...well, he's really not} Don't even put him in that category of men who are worth less than dirt.

[she's somewhat aware of this and doesn't really believe he would herself, but she's not above being petty and dragging him down to win a fight] Well, seeing as you're worth less than nothing, I suppose being less than dirt still makes him respectable comparative.

{That's it. Diva gets close to the TARDIS again, this time slamming her to the floor and placing a foot firmly on her chest to prevent her getting up. She reaches under the skirt of her dress and pulls out a dagger (it wouldn't do to be caught by Saya without a weapon, after all), pointing it down at her.}

You will not insult Sam. No matter what you are right now, I'll break you if you say one. more. word.

[glares up at her] I shall speak as I want of whomever I please, be it Sam Tyler or a worthless monster such as yourself.

{She tosses the dagger easily and quickly into the TARDIS's shoulder, leaning down to take the handle and twist it sharply} I shall make it so you can no longer speak, trash.

[bites back a yell of pain, gritting her teeth] You cannot stop thought, you pathetic little insect. [headbutt!]

{Diva's head jerks back slightly, but she shakes it off as she pushes the dagger all the way through} You've no reason to talk. The insect is the one who is pinned to the ground now, right?

I am not an insect; I am never lower than you! [fumbles at her side with her free hand, pulling out a gun and aiming it at Diva's head, releasing the safety] But I certainly have a stinger.

{Doesn't even flinch, just smiles, taunting her}

[sets her jaw, pressing the gun to her temple, then snarls and lets it fall to her side. she might have shot her once, a long time ago, but she's no longer infected with Zagreus and the Doctor wouldn't be happy with her if she shot someone in the head. she does, however, bring her hand back around to punch Diva squarely in the side of the head. hard]

{Not this time! Diva catches the TARDIS's fist in her hand, smiling down at her} What's wrong? Can't shoot? Can't shoot a "monster"?

That's probably better for you. Shoot me, and I'll retaliate with a pain that you can't even imagine.

I do not fear anything you're capable of, but I am not a monster. Not like you. I've done enough killing in my life: I'll not spend the effort on you. [sniffs disdainfully] I won't hurt the Doctor by becoming some base killer as you surely have Sam.

Not afraid? Well then, those are pretty big words to live up to, ne?

{Diva removes her foot and even the dagger, standing up straight to take a deep breath before she begins to sing. It's the same hauntingly beautiful melody that she sang not long after her arrival, but this time, pain is seared into every note. For a human, it would mean their death or transformation into the mindless monsters that were a Chiropteran, but for the TARDIS, it would only mean the pain associated with her song.}

[sound, especially now that she has the drums, is incredibly painful, and the TARDIS actually screams, writhing on the ground and clutching at her head as the drums begin pounding out a stronger cadence, resonating through her systems, sending her into something akin to shock as her system overloads, sparks slicing out from the cut in her shoulder. she curls up in a ball on the ground, scrambling for her gun. she's intent on stopping the pain if she can just reach the weapon. and this time? she'll shoot the bitch]

{Fortunately, opera is not exactly quick or strong movement friendly, so Diva has to concentrate on her song rather than stop the TARDIS from getting her gun.}

[good for the TARDIS! who has just found her gun! it takes her a long time to fumble it into position and the pain has made her almost blind, but she cocks the gun and fires off a shot in the general direction of Diva's legs]

{Her note cuts off sharply as, with luck, the bullet goes through her left leg. It's enough to make her stumble to the ground, holding her leg tenderly}

[scrambles to her feet, clutching her arm, pointing the gun at her with her other] You will cease this prattle and leave, before you give Sam yet another reason to hate you.

{Glares} I can't go home yet.

And why is that?

Well, let's see. Those twins thought it would be fun to change my reality to a place I would not like to be anymore, which is kind of why all those people died in the first place. So I'll go back if you really want me to, but the next time I come back, more people might die.
