[Hei appears, looking rather irritated, and promptly heads off along the Astral Plane, walking with a purpose and looking like he's searching for something.]

By M11, I think...

[Keeps walking, mostly in silence, though he mutters to himself occasionally. After a bit he comes upon his telescope and his expression darkens. The telescope has been knocked over and is lying on its side. Hei crouches down, sighing heavily.]

This on top of the rest of it...

[Disappears for a moment, coming back with a toolkit and a bag of sandwiches. He settles down and starts going to work on his poor, beat-up telescope.]

[Scuttles up behind him, feeling scared but also not wanting him to leave upset again. She picks up the toolkit gingerly and stretches her neck forward, even more tentative, to offer it back.]

[Stares at her, a bit surprised. Then he hefts up the telescope and reaches out slowly to take the toolkit. All the while he's keeping his eyes on her, watching her reactions. He doesn't want to upset her anymore than he's done already, after all.]

[Hunkers down again as soon as he has it.] Don't leave? Don't be mad. Please?

I'm not mad. I just didn't think you wanted me near you. [Sets his things down and closes his eyes briefly.] I'm sorry. I didn't realize.

[Still nervous.] Realize?

I didn't realize that he'd done things like that to you as well.

[Goes to rub against him.] Can't know unless you're there. Wouldn't want you there. He'd hurt you. I like you.

[Fuzzy! Hei stares at her, a bit taken aback. But then he smiles a little.]

I like you too, Cy.

[Pauses, then is back in serious mode.] I won't shock you again. I promise.
