[Hei appears, looking rather irritated, and promptly heads off along the Astral Plane, walking with a purpose and looking like he's searching for something.]

By M11, I think...

[Keeps walking, mostly in silence, though he mutters to himself occasionally. After a bit he comes upon his telescope and his expression darkens. The telescope has been knocked over and is lying on its side. Hei crouches down, sighing heavily.]

This on top of the rest of it...

[Disappears for a moment, coming back with a toolkit and a bag of sandwiches. He settles down and starts going to work on his poor, beat-up telescope.]

[Shun comes over and watches for a minuet or so before speaking] Something happened to your telescope?

[Doesn't look up at Shun because he's focusing on repairs.]

It must have gotten knocked over in the explosion. All the glass shattered at the bar, too. I meant to come sooner, but I was busy separating realities.

[Shun knows theres only been one explosion on the Plane, and who caused it] I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?

[Looks up at him this time and smiles a little.] Why? Not like it was your fault. And, no offense, but I doubt it--unless you know a lot about telescopes.

Heh, I don't think I even saw a telescope until a couple years ago. There wasn't really a chance for me to be near one before that.

[Chuckles.] They're getting rarer in my world. You have to look in the right place to find one. There isn't really a need for them anymore.

I guess that's true. [Quiet for a minuet] Is your telescope badly damaged?

[contract_star]

Not really. The lens is the important--and expensive--part, but it's fine. The casing is cracked and the eyepiece is out of alignment, but I can fix them. It just might take awhile. [Idly reaches for a sandwich and starts munching, careful not to get crumbs on his telescope.]

[Smirks to himself and then wordlessly hands a sandwich over to Shun.]

[Yay, sandwich! Have a big grin as Shun takes it.] Thank you! [And he sits down to eat it.]

[Beams back at him, going for a second sandwich himself.]

[Hei actually rather enjoys eating with people :D He finishes off the second sandwich and goes back to his scope.]
