[On the Astral plane, yawning]
I hate dying when I have plans. I mean, there's the time it takes to bring me back, then there's all the paperwork I have to fill out.....And I really wanted to take Mickey and Jake out for sushi at the new sushi bar on Oxford.
((Kisha inspired this! There is also lead-up fic here, about Rose dying. \o/))

Now, the heir was just a bit thick. He was all headstrong and figured he could rule the kingdom how he liked. He decided to go about it the dictator way. So, everything had to go through him. But funny enough, no one minded too much. He did take care of them, after all. And it wasn't breaking up any daily routines. So for a while, things were all right.
Except, well, the heir was thick and paranoid. So soon he wanted to always know what everyone was thinking. He even wanted nature to listen to him. Now that's really pompous, isn't it? Thinking that nature should listen to you. But nature did! Everyone did! They did what he wanted, he heard all their thoughts and all their sorrows and nature moved when he wanted it to and the animals acted as he said.
But music just wouldn't listen. Just that one thing wouldn't listen to him. He couldn't control the emotions in it. So he banished music from the kingdom. It was a bad move. Because now he had everything at his command but what good was it? Without music, what mattered? Nothing mattered. There was no sound, no joyful cries or sad whimpers. Nothing.
Eventually, he realized his father had been right. He couldn't control everything like that. And so he begged music to return. Music returned to the land and the subjects rejoiced. And, uhm, actually this one has a bad ending. But basically...music realized, because of the king, that not everything in life was beautiful. Music now had the power to become angry. And it's first victim was the kingdom.
....The end.

Once upon a time, in a bustling kingdom, there were two boys. One was from a poor family and the other from a rich one. Despite this, the boys were happy and played with each other everyday. Very good friends.
Time passed as it always does and the boys turned into young men, though I suppose they didn't really mature much. Anyway! One day, a proclamation came from the palace that the beautiful princess was to find a suitor. The suitor would be the one capable of making her smile, because the princess didn't smile for anyone. Naturally, the two boys decided to try their luck. They were bored and she was pretty, you know how it goes.
The two of them both tried their best skills, wit and charm. They were funny, intelligent, witty...really, these two boys were very impressive, but the princess only yawned. She was a tough cookie. They tried for three days and still the princess wouldn't even look at them.
The boys felt like big fat failures, so they left. Later that night, while walking in the town garden, the poor boy happened on the princess. The two chatted about plants, which the poor boy knew well having spent so much time with them, and the princess smiled.
Except the next morning the rich boy ran into the princess as well. The boy and the princess bonded over leadership and politics and all those things and the princess was impressed with his knowledge. She smiled at him too.
Now obviously this was a problem! Both boys had made her smile. There was a time of squabbling and it was all very undignified until the princess decided they'd all just be friends and go observe things in the garden. And they all agreed happily.

Why wasn't it fair?

Because! If they went on a date, they made a big show of it! I didn't do that! Not exactly. I guess they weren't really dates. They were sort of dates.
