If you're here, you'll likely catch sight of Omega bursting onto the plane - with purpose, like she's running from (or to?) something, and it seems important. Her forward momentum does slow after a few paces, and she finally stops, looking around for a sign of... well, anyone at all. ]

Excuse me! Someone! Someone who's... been around? Preferably. Please?

[ My, she's even more flustered than when some of the residents surprised her last time... ]

I read something. I-In the archives. And then I... I don't know, felt something different, and... L-Look, I just have a feeling. And I have a theory, but I need to talk to--

Then let's grab a drink. I don't know about you, but I could sure use something stronger than usual.

Long day, huh? [he gives Tyler a wry grin, stepping back.] Can't deny that sounds like a good idea, though. It shouldn't be too far.

Every day's a long day, as far as I'm concerned. [He grins in return, stuffing his hands in his pockets as they move forward.] So, how do you take your booze?

I'm kinda partial to cheap beer, but anything'll do at this point.

There's that much going on? [he raises his eyebrows, tucking his hands in his sash.

He chuckles, tilting his head back.]

Free and readily available. [sure, that's not what Tyler was asking, but it's not bad.]

I'm sure we can find something of the sort. [let's see what the bar has to offer! he grabs the first bottle he sees, offering it over.] What do you think of that one?

[Tyler skims over the label. Not his favorite, but it'll make do.] Looks like rum. If you mix it with soda, you'll be good to go.

I like beer best, but I'm not picky. [...] Can't afford to be, considering how high my beer tab gets.

[He might as well be a functioning alcoholic, for all he drinks and drinks.]

All right. I expect there's some around… [he glances around for a moment, then passes it up in favour of looking for a beer.]

That sounds as thugh things are pretty intense where you're from. [that's… maybe optimistic. He passes up a bottle.] Cascade? How's that sound?

Fine by me. [His expression softens as he accepts it and pours it into a glass.] And yeah, I'd say so.

Mystic Falls was unofficially known as a death town. If the shoe fits...

[Awkward shrug as he downs the glass in milliseconds.]

[He pauses from looking for soda to give Tyler an aghast look.]

A death town- what kind of things went on there? [are still going on, apparently?]

Vampire-related things. [Tyler pours himself another drink. It's been that kind of week.] Not as chaotic as I make it sound like, but it feels like something's dropping on our doorstep every Thursday.

Those creatures that live on blood? [he nods, grimacing slightly, and pours his own drink.]

If only it was that scheduled, though, right? Then you'd have some idea of when to prepare… So you have those in your world?

[A slight nod as he reaches for something to eat too - anything to off-set how much he'll be drinking.]

Yeah. Vampires, werewolves, witches, the whole nine yards. Those don't exist where you come from?

[That's a pretty good plan. Hawk's not planning to drink quite as much, but there are some nice-looking bottles under here, so he'll bring a couple out to look at.]

Well- no, they do- werewolves and witches, certainly. But I don't know that much about vampires. I don't suppose they'd want to travel to the desert much, though.

[Tyler lets out a bark of a laugh - the desert?]

God no. They wouldn't last a second out there - and that's a good thing, man. I'm glad you're not familiar with 'em.

I suspected as much!

[he chuckles, holding his glass up.]

Here's hoping they find the time to manage to stop bothering you, too.

Thanks. [He holds his glass up and lightly taps it against Hawk's in a toasting motion.]

So if you're not bothered by vampires, what exactly does bother y'all? Sand worms?

No sand worms! We get bulettes- they're these very armoured creatures, and a lot of trouble to take down-, some duck monsters and a few cockatrices, though.

Duck monsters. [........] I am so sorry, man. That doesn't sound normal either.

They're not so bad if you can avoid their bombs. They don't make for a lot of meat, though.

Wait up. You don't mind eating them?

[And Tyler had sincerely thought he'd heard everything.]

It's better to have something than nothing. [even if it is bomb-throwing duck.]

Ehhh… [he waves a hand, frowning in thought.] Stringy. A bit spicey.

True, it's more.... Back where I'm from, we don't usually eat our monsters.

Too human-like. Werewolves and vampires and witches were all human once - or with witches, always were.

Though- werewolves were human, in your world? I've never heard of that before. What's the reason for that?
