{Diva appears on the Astral Plane, and if she was looking bad before, it’s a lot worse now. But after what happened at her new "home", it'd be considered a miracle she was even alive. She’s nude, but covered head to toe in blood. Bandages are wrapped around her in certain places, and stitches stand out against her skin where limbs seem to have been reattached.

As soon as weight is put on her feet, she falls, as her ankles crack and bend to the side. She whimpers for a moment, curling in on herself to hold her ankles tenderly, but as her arms protest the movement as well, she finally screams in agonized pain.}

[Kneels down and takes her hand gently.]

A doctor will be able to help you. And...

Wait.

[Expression goes dark, looking at the stitches and the surgical quality of some of the injuries.] Was it a doctor who did this to you??

[madamemoiselle]

{Closes her eyes with a grimace} I really...hate doctors.

{He might have been a doctor, sure, but Diva doesn't know or really care.}

I do as well. But I think you need a doctor now; a good one who will be able to save you.

[madamemoiselle]

{Looks up for a moment before laughing softly and letting her head rest against the ground again.}

I c-can't....die.

{Laughs a little more before reaching down to her ankles}

[Closes his eyes and is silent a moment before opening them again.]

Can I do anything to at least lessen the pain?

[madamemoiselle]

{Before she answers that question, she grabs her ankle and pulls it back into place with a loud crack, which makes her wince with a small choking noise}

...No. No, it'll be...fine. {Smiles, though it's forced}

[And Hei winces at the sound.]

If you want I can...stay with you.

[madamemoiselle]

{Quietly} ...Please.

[Nods and settles beside her, taking her hand again.]

I-I'm Li Shengshun, by the way. [Smiles a little.] Though I suppose this isn't the best time for introductions.

[madamemoiselle]

{Smiles} Li...I won't...forget it. My name...My name is...Diva.

It's nice to meet you, Diva, though I wish it had been under better circumstances.

[madamemoiselle]

Any...circumstance...is fine. {Diva takes her other ankle and twists it back into place as well, but at least the noise wasn't quite as loud}

[Hei frowns at the ohmygodOW sound and feels rather helpless.]

Would...talking help take your mind off it? Even if I did most of it...I don't want you to strain yourself.

It's...not really... {She shakes her head slightly as she starts to unwrap the bandages around her ankles with a small chuckle} No, it sounds....pretty bad...to say I'm used to...it. I've...dealt with...something like this before.

{The bandage comes off on the first ankle that she 'fixed', and just like that, it's completely healed as if there had never been any damage at all.} But, ne...tell me about...you.

I'm very sorry to hear that. No one should go through something like this even once.

[Caught off guard a little by the insta-healing and the question.] Me? Ah...w-well, I'm from China originally. But I'm living in Tokyo, Japan now--I'm an exchange student. I wanted to further my education and experience Japan. But I have to work pretty hard; school is expensive, so I work all sorts of jobs. There isn't...really much more to say. [Smiles.] I've got a really normal life. [Liar]

[madamemoiselle]

It sounds...nice, though. Even if...you have to work hard, I bet...Li has lots of friends. Living a normal life.....it's easier that way.

{The second bandage comes off with the same result, and Diva wiggles her toes slightly to make sure they attached alright}

It...it is pretty nice. I've made some good friends.

But you must have good friends too, right?

Not really. Here...people like me...but...home it's different. I'm not the same....so humans don't...like me. I don't have any friends.

{Diva pushes herself up with one arm, the other hanging limply at her side, and obviously unattached from the rest of her arm since the bandage surrounding it is poking out at an odd angle. She takes that arm gingerly and starts to quite literally push it back into place.}

That's...well. Well, at least you have friends here, right?

So...and I don't mean to sound rude, but, do you mean that you're not human? [It's getting easier not to immediately jump to the conclusion that people are Contractors, but still...]

[madamemoiselle]

I hope so. I...really like the people...here. {Her teeth clench in pain with a small whimper as bone once again cracks into place so it can heal, but she smiles sheepishly with a small laugh}

...I was wondering when...Li would ask. It's not a...rude question at all. But...no, I'm not. I'm a Chiropteran...Ne, the closest thing...that would be a vampire. But only because I have to...drink human blood to live.

I'm sure of it. [Smiles, though it falters a little at her sound of pain.]

A vampire? I had no idea vampires were real. [Pauses, because he's suddenly reminded of Havoc. Drinking blood...it's like an obeisance, after all.] But if it's blood you need, if it'll help you heal faster...[He pulls his sleeve back and extends his wrist toward her.]

[madamemoiselle]

{Shakes her head and instead just takes his hand gently into her own} No, I'm full now. Ah, that not-Joel...well...I guess he figured out that...I need blood to heal. Hardly any...of the blood on me...is mine. I was in a tub of someone...else's afterward.

[Sighs in relief.] Well that at least is good to hear. I was afraid all this blood was yours...

[madamemoiselle]

No, no, if it was I'd definitely be passed out. When I'm hurt, I don't bleed as much as a human anyways, which is a good thing since I'm naturally....I think the word is...ane---anemic?

{She pulls off the last set of bandages and throws it in the pile of stitches and bandages with a nod} All done~!

[contract_star]

Y-yeah, I suppose that makes sense.

[Smiles genuinely at her.] I'm glad. Is the pain gone?
