001 ❉ the curtain calls

[ Tsubaki remembers this place and she finds that it truly isn't as eerie as the last time she had visited it. The Theater, she thinks, looks even welcoming. Having seen that the price of admission was "food", she had with her a large bento box neatly wrapped in cloth. She wanders into the main hall, looking for some personnel or anyone, really -- ]

Hello? Um-- I've brought some food, and I would like a ticket to watch a movie please!

[ She looks a little self-conscious, with how strange it feels to have an establishment set out modes of payment and not really have someone easily visible to receive it. Whether it's someone to receive her "payment" or to join her for movies, she'll be grateful for the company! ]

Starving to death, for example? [Casually.] Oh, wow. Hunters, huh. Again. You're everywhere, aren'cha. [His smirks turns into a grimace for a moment there. Bad memories. He drops his gaze a the contents of the bento again.]

Well then, darling, there isn't any Ticket Master or payment, relax. But if ya bring me some sweets I could wind up this old thing for ya.

[ Tsubaki doesn't miss the subtle cues and for a moment and she looks apologetic. While there were witches like Medusa who tortures her own family, there were those like Angela who were just lonely. ] Not like that...

[ She would've scolded him for what was revealed now as a prank, but Tsubaki still manages a nervous smile. ] You really got me there, mister. If all you needed were sweets, you could've said so! I could've gotten them sooner!

[ She pats the bento closed for a moment, before she runs back towards the Astral Kitchen. ] Watch over these, I'll be right back!

[Gabriel just snorts at her. He was playing on the 'dark' side for a while now, he grew a but attached to it after all.]

It's not that I need them girl, but it's always nice to have some around, you see.

[Though he has to admit that Tsubaki's sudden eagerness to get him sweets right after he pranked her is adorable. He tilts his head to look after her, then decides to materialize in the kitchen to greet her. Mostly because no one orders him around...] If you're looking for the candy bar in the cupboard I already got rid of that.

[ Imagine her surprise when she hears the gentleman had followed her -- and justly enough, she had been checking around the cupboards and even the fridge and found it lacking in sweets! She's quick in facing him though -- typical of someone who doesn't show her back to a "threat". Still amicable though ~ ]

It's always nice to have something you like to eat while watching a movie but-- you sure like surprises, don't you mister?

[Gabriel tilts his head at her alarm. He had seen many hunters act the same, oh yes. She would have been so cute without the hunter factor, now she has the potential to turn out pretty annoying in his eyes.]

Actually, honey, that depends. I like ta surprise, but 'M not entirely sure about the other way around, ya see. You like 'em?

[It's not that he can't zap a candy bar in his hand right away, it's just watching others struggle for it is more fun.]

[ At the head-tilt -- ] Aah-- sorry!

[ Tsubaki gives a sorry little sigh, thinking of the kind of 'surprises' she has had to deal with: mostly failed ones from her loud and boisterous partner. ] I'd rather be the one giving them, actually.

Though I don't really mind -- they keep you on your feet, you know?

Well then, we're gonna be friends, missy. [Leans against he kitchen counter.] What's your name?

And for a hunter that's an important aspect in life, huh. Staying on your feet.

So, where are my sweets? [Because he's an ass.]

My name's Tsubaki. Nakatsukasa Tsubaki. [ She gives a little bow a she introduces herself because she's polite like that. ] And what's your name mister?

[ -- and he is so getting this look for being an ass. ] I can make cooked or baked desserts if you can wait for a bit, since you got what's in the cupboards already!

Just like James Bond. [Winks a little, then strikes the 'pose'.] Tsubaki Nakatsukasa Tsubaki, pleasure to me'cha. I'm Loki.

Well, ya see I don't like to wait. What's your plan in this case? [He finds this situation extremely hilarious though.]

I-it's just Tsubaki... [ ahehehe oh dear. ] It's good to meet you, Loki.

[ While always armed with patience, she knows when someone is testing it. ] Whether I make the sweets or I go back home to get some, you'll still be doing an amount of waiting.

[Gabriel raises an eyebrow.] Fair enough. But make it quick, and make somethin' we can eat while watching Indiana Jones kickin' some butt, 'kay?.

Don't worry! I won't be long! [ And as she turns, she flicks out of the kitchen... only to return a few counts later looking a bit unsure -- ]

Oh! Did I take long? [ Still getting used between the odd time discrepancies between the two places. Either way, she has two grocery bags full of junkfood, and one smaller bag full of candy and chocolate. Here's to hoping Gabe likes Matcha Green Tea Kitkats in his selection ~ ] Will these do?

[Gabriel smirks amused. It literally was one second.]

Ages. [He replied smiling as a KitKat from her bag materializes in his hand.] So, adventure movie was it, right? Are ya familiar with Indiana Jones' awesomeness?

[ Tsubaki just sighed. She hates making people wait. ] Sorry!

[ Shakes her head. ] I don't think I've heard of him. But if you say he's awesome...

[ After glancing, puzzled, at Gabriel's hand, then to the bag she's holding. ] Aa-- how did you do that?

He's gonna blow your mind, Tsubaki. [Gabriel grins and waves at her to follow him back to the theater.]

'S just basic magic, kid. Or does this count as killing a human and eatin' it? Are ya gonna hunt me down now? [Gabriel laughs and takes a bite of the chocolate bar, but he's prepared. Never not be prepared with a hunter...]

Then I look forward to it!

[ Tsubaki's smile halts though. ]

You know, if anything that looked like "magic" was all it took for us to hunt someone down, then I'd be hunted too. And it'd have to take a lot more than taking a chocolate bar that you asked for in the first place.

You better!

[Gabriel has to admit that she's thinking quite fairly about this matter, and decides he likes it.]

Stick to that, kid, will ya? Not many hunters are like that so I think 'm gonna keep ya. [Wink.] What kind of magic do ya have?

[ Keep. Ahehehe ~ ]

Sounds like you've had a bad experience with witch hunters. I'm sorry about that.

[ At his question though, her ponytail moved on its own as its end rested on an open palm, and it turned into chain scythe. ]

It's not magic in the true sense of the word, but I'm a Weapon.

All the time, babe. [Nods, munching his Kit-Kat. But then he halts a bit, when he feels the 'magic' working. He watches the transformation.]

Now that... 's pretty cool. A Weapon, huh? So you're just walkin' around handing your body over to strangers to fight with you? [He can't help the innuendo, and the smirk. He really thinks it's cool, but his mind is dirty.]

[ Tsubaki's face turns into an appropriate shade of read upon catching the innuendo and over being called a "babe". ]

I-it's not like that! I have a partner and our bodies-- [ asdjfkdsjkk! NO! ] our souls' wavelengths must work together! Not just anyone can use me!

[ ... that sounded better in her head. ]

[Gabriel has to laugh at her reaction, then laughs more at her comeback.]

Oooh, soul play, now that's intimate. But that's great kid, 't means ya're special, that's nice. Precious. [Wriggles his eyebrows.] Indy will love ya, and you're gonna love 'em too.

[ All of the mental AJSDKFJSDKLK! can almost be heard. ALMOST. ] We're-- we're not-- we're not lovers if that's what you're thinking!

[ But yes, no stopping in going to see a fun movie, as she releases the scythe and it turns back into her normal ponytail ] Let's just watch the movie, please?

[Gabriel smiles contently, his job here is done.] I wasn't really thinking anything.

Let's go then, and be awed by Indy! [He grins as he escorts her back with all the sweets and junk food to the movie theater. With just a snap of his fingers he gets the old building to function and the movie running.]

Yes, it's magic before you ask.

[ -- and she was indeed about to ask, words stolen from her mouth as Loki gave his preemptive answer. ]

You sure know how to make use of it then.

[ Finally, she gives him a warm smile before settling into her seat as the movie starts playing. ]
