[ Tsubaki remembers this place and she finds that it truly isn't as eerie as the last time she had visited it. The Theater, she thinks, looks even welcoming. Having seen that the price of admission was "food", she had with her a large bento box neatly wrapped in cloth. She wanders into the main hall, looking for some personnel or anyone, really -- ]

Hello? Um-- I've brought some food, and I would like a ticket to watch a movie please!

[ She looks a little self-conscious, with how strange it feels to have an establishment set out modes of payment and not really have someone easily visible to receive it. Whether it's someone to receive her "payment" or to join her for movies, she'll be grateful for the company! ]

[having heard the voice, Menzies comes to the doorway, smiling wryly] I, ah, wouldn't worry too much about that--I've never seen anybody 'ere to take it. Anything in particular you were wanting to watch?

[the sounds of explosions are audible from within the theatre]

Oh-- [ Tsubaki immediately gives the lady a smile. ] I was really expecting someone to collect it. I've made quite a lot um...

[ Upon the question, she looks towards the sounds -- it might be something that Black*Star would enjoy... ] Oh, I'm not very picky. Would there be one that hasn't started yet?

A ticket? Are ya serious...? [Gabriel snorts, who knew hanging around the theater will cure his boredom.] Well, pretty, that there won't be enough for a whole ticket.

[Of course he recognizes this girl from not long ago, when everything was fear and she still stood her ground. But that doesn't mean he won't pull a joke on her.]

[ -- and Tsubaki recognizes the gentleman in turn! She's quite relieved that he's no longer freaking out over things! ] Well, surely there has to be something in exchange for all the food...

[ She looks at the bento she's holding: it's food enough for two hungry Black*Stars people. Never thinking that the gentleman's out to prank her -- ] Maybe whoever put up the sign should've specified how much food people should bring! I could've made more.

Well, I'm sure you could find people 'round 'ere to eat it if you can't back 'ome.

[her smile is amused--it seems this girl is new enough not to know how self-service things on the Plane are] First time 'ere, I take it? [she doesn't wait for a reply] It depends on what you're looking for. We could restart this one--or something else.

[Yes, that wasn't his best side... Gabriel chuckles and walks closer.]

Lemme see what you got there, mmmmaybe I can help ya.

[ Tsubaki is gradually learning about that... ] I'm fine with any movie. This one sounds pretty interesting!

[ Certainly, she could return back home and give the bento to Black*Star but... ] Are you hungry? I'd love to share and I wouldn't want to this to go to waste!

[ For what it's worth, Tsubaki wasn't at her best form either -- and thus she says nothing about it! ] Oh-- alright!

[ She heads towards a side-table and unwraps the bento boxes. ] Do you like Japanese food?

[ And she opens a box to reveal onigiri, maki, stir-fried beef, asparagus wrapped in scrambled egg and little sausages shaped like tiny octopus. No sweets for the Trickster, sadly~ ]

[Good, though Gabriel wants to mention how she stood her ground and how amazing that was, but maybe after the prank. He just smiles, all too happily now as he follows Tsubaki.]

Japanese food isn't what I love about that place the most. [He winks, but his cheerfulness disappears as he glances at the contents of the box. No sweets indeed. Sad.] Well, child, this isn't gonna do it. They won't even let ya in for the trailers... What kind of movie ya'd like to see again?

[ Then pranktiems it is! /o/ ]

[ Tsubaki catches on the wink and briefly blushes at that. Then at the evaluation of her work -- ] Aa-- They must've been expecting someone to prepare a banquet -- that would be a lot of work for one person just to watch one movie!

[ Though she does ponder on what she wants to watch ... ] I wanted to see an adventure movie -- with treasure hunters and car chases!

Indeed, but aren't ya already familiar with the Plane? The way of things are different from what you expect.

Hmmm, adventure, with car chasing... well, this might be enough for the car chasing but you're gonna need somethin' else for the adventure part. [Still examines the contents intently.] How d'ya know the Ticket Master is eating the same kind of food as you do anyway? What if he, I don't know, prefers human flesh?

It's Star Trek, if you've ever 'eard of that. Except it's some re-re-make from 2050 or 60 or so. Someone must 'ave left it lying about in 'ere. [and she couldn't resist the opportunity to see the sci-fi of the future] I'll restart it.

[she smiles at that offer, though] Sure, why not. I'll start the film, and then we can open it up. What's your name, love?

Twenty... fifty... [ Just absorbing that little fact. Then remarks on restarting the movie. She might just follow to see how it's done. ] You can do that? But-- alright!

My name's Tsubaki Nakatsukasa, miss.

I can't say I'm very familiar with it yet. There are still many things I have to learn about it...

[ Tsubaki's brows furrow. IS THE TICKET MASTER A WITCH SHE'D HAVE TO HUNT. ] But that would require the Ticket Master being more specific or have information like that available! And if the Ticket Master's like that, then humans won't be able to watch movies at all!

Oooh, newcomer. Well, welcome then! This will be your first lesson, huh.

[Wide grin.]

Ticket Master could be a sulky lady who wants her wishes to be guessed, it's more fun that way. [He chuckles a little at how serious she suddenly takes this.] Girl, I think you can still watch a movie if you're missing an ear, or a foot, or maybe an arm if ya want dolby surround.

[ Oh she's taking the possibility seriously. Because -- ] Could the Ticket Master be a witch? It's not nice to take people's body parts just for a movie!

Well, she has t' eat somehow, don't ya think? [Chuckles.] You seem familiar with witches... You're one too?

But there has to be other ways-- [ She shakes her head!! ] I'm not a witch! Back home I'm-- well, quite a number of us, actually, are witch and demon hunters.

Starving to death, for example? [Casually.] Oh, wow. Hunters, huh. Again. You're everywhere, aren'cha. [His smirks turns into a grimace for a moment there. Bad memories. He drops his gaze a the contents of the bento again.]

Well then, darling, there isn't any Ticket Master or payment, relax. But if ya bring me some sweets I could wind up this old thing for ya.

[ Tsubaki doesn't miss the subtle cues and for a moment and she looks apologetic. While there were witches like Medusa who tortures her own family, there were those like Angela who were just lonely. ] Not like that...

[ She would've scolded him for what was revealed now as a prank, but Tsubaki still manages a nervous smile. ] You really got me there, mister. If all you needed were sweets, you could've said so! I could've gotten them sooner!

[ She pats the bento closed for a moment, before she runs back towards the Astral Kitchen. ] Watch over these, I'll be right back!

Yeah, the Plane is basically self-service. I take it you 'aven't been coming 'ere long?

Nice to meet you...Tsubaki. [at least, she's hoping she picked up the break between the two names. that was quite the mouthful] I'm D.I. Menzies. Anyway, hold that thought--I'll be back in a tick. [and she heads off for the projection box to restart the film]

[a moment later, the image on the screen freezes, and then previews start up. Menzies returns to join Tsubaki] There we go. Should start again in a couple minutes. You a fan of sci-fi?

It's nice to meet you too, Detective Menzies! I got here... [ when everyone was freaking out ] some time ago, though I've been coming back and forth from home --

[ And holding that thought she does, waiting as Menzies does her work. In the meantime, she sets up the bento boxes as much as she can -- ] Oh-- I like sci-fi movies! The special effects always amaze me!

[ She then hands over what could be described as a bento for a very, very hungry person. It's not popcorn, bit it's food! ] Here you are~

[Gabriel just snorts at her. He was playing on the 'dark' side for a while now, he grew a but attached to it after all.]

It's not that I need them girl, but it's always nice to have some around, you see.

[Though he has to admit that Tsubaki's sudden eagerness to get him sweets right after he pranked her is adorable. He tilts his head to look after her, then decides to materialize in the kitchen to greet her. Mostly because no one orders him around...] If you're looking for the candy bar in the cupboard I already got rid of that.

[ Imagine her surprise when she hears the gentleman had followed her -- and justly enough, she had been checking around the cupboards and even the fridge and found it lacking in sweets! She's quick in facing him though -- typical of someone who doesn't show her back to a "threat". Still amicable though ~ ]

It's always nice to have something you like to eat while watching a movie but-- you sure like surprises, don't you mister?

So you haven't spent much time 'ere? [her expression is amused. she can understand why someone would want to avoid the Plane even soon after their first arrival, but she knows enough about this place to be sure it won't work in the long run]

Well, if you're looking for special effects, then this is a good one for it. [Menzies takes a look into the bento--and is rather impressed, actually] Looks like you've got a talent. Planning to feed an army, were you? [her tone is that of her usual dry sarcasm as she considers where to start with the contents]
