Preparing

[Hiccup is unusually serious today. He has a few bruises on his face, and he looks a bit more tired than usual. He's sitting on the Astral floor, with drawings around him. The pictures are about a huge, blue dragon, surrounded by arrows and side notes. It almost looks like a battle plan.]

Wish I'd seen if he could fly or not... [Hiccup mutters, biting his lower lip.]

Trouble, Oliver. Or another of those 'end of the world' moments. Just the usual... [Hiccup sighs, scratching the back of his head.] My father took Toothless... and they're going to be in huge mess soon, annnd I'm going to help them... Or try and help them and die together with them.

[Oliver stares] Wait, what!? What do you mean your father's got Toothless? What sort of mess!?

I was in the arena, you know. I supposed to kill a Monstrous Nightmare, but I thought it's a good chance to show that if the aren't provoked they're friendly.

But he was more nervous than me, and of course it didn't go well. If it's not for Toothless we wouldn't talk about it right now. He just appeared in the arena like that! He knew I was in trouble, Oliver... I-I... This is so... [Sighs.] And I let him be captured and used as a- a- a- compass or what's that!

Dad wasn't listening when I tried to tell him there is something more dangerous on that island... [Shows one of the pictures of the dragon to Oliver.] I'm not a part of the tribe anymore, but I... am going after them and help them.

[oliverplus]

[for a moment, Oliver is stunned to silence] That's... [he swallows hard, very worried for his friend--his friends] All right, what can we do? How do we help?

What, Oliver, no! [Hiccup gasps, grabbing Oliver's arm.] I already put you in danger with my problems, and this one right this-- this's the root of everything, it's practically a war!

[oliverplus]

[he was afraid Hiccup would react like that] Well, doesn't that mean you need help now more than ever? [Hiccup has a point, though--Oliver isn't exactly the first person anyone would want with them during an actual battle. not to mention the Vikings probably wouldn't take well to his presence. so, grudgingly he adds:] There's stuff I could do here! Like, get you stuff. Or help you plan something.

[Hiccup bites in his lips. It indeed means that, but he really don't want to put more people at risk. His voice is quiet when he speaks.] The guys... Astrid and the others, they believe me and they offered to follow me to help my father.

I... I might bring some items over that the dragons can't really carry... You could help me with those.

[oliverplus]

[Oliver's stomach drops. so not only is Hiccup in danger, but so are all his friends. Oliver nods eagerly at the chance to something at least] Yeah, definitely. What do you need me to do?

I still have to list what I might need, buuuut well I guess I'll bring the whole blacksmith hut... And, and some medical kit, can you put on a bandage...?

[oliverplus]

[he nods] Yeah, I could do that. So you're going to bring them to the Plane and then send them back to your world when you get there?

[ex_dragonnerd309]

Yes, something like that... Because I'm not sure at all what I should bring. I mean, I have a few ideas, but this is nt the time when I can let myself be unprepared.

[oliverplus]

[he's not sure how wise it is to start picking up entire buildings and moving them around, but considering what Hiccup's up against, Oliver nods in agreement] Whatever you need, Hiccup. I'll help.
