[Kay once again steps out onto the Plane and is covered in... You know what? It's slimy, it's sort of greenish yellow, it's stringy and trickly, and it looks pretty unpleasant. He's so busy shaking off his hand and trying to wipe off his big shiny brightly lit gun that he doesn't notice where he is for a moment.] Shows me for forgetting my damn handkerchief.

[As if one little hanky would take care of the horrors that have happened here. Oh well. And then he looks up.

And around.

Eyebrow raise.]

...Huh.

[Not much to say about that. Other than this is disgusting and he'll have to change suits very soon.]

[Eithan happens to see him... and makes a face.]

Ew. Uh, hey man, do you... need a towel or somethin'?

That'd be helpful. [He's being honest. He wipes off his face. Towel would be good now. Sandblasting later.]

Right. [He drops from the Plane, and returns three seconds later with a fluffy white towel. He hands it over to Kay.]

What the hell is that? Do I wanna know?

[He shakes his head stiffly.]

Probably not.

[He was eaten again. Sometimes he's proud of how he gets out of those situations. Now is not one of those times.] Thanks, Kid. I owe you one. [Gun first! And then the rest of him starts getting the towel. Ew. Can't have the gun messy.]

Don't worry about it. [Small smile] You gonna be okay?

[Meanwhile, don't mind him, he's admiring the gun. 'Cause damn.]

What sneezed on you?

[Duo, ever the smartass.]

I'd be a hell of a lot happier if it were snot, I'm not gonna lie.

[He's attracts smartass like a magnet.]

[He likes his gun!] Yeah, I'll be fine. [Dismissively.] Happens a lot. Somehow managed myself here again, though. Didn't realize I'd gotten the invite back. Might have been too busy to notice.

[Yes. Yes he was.]

Invite back? Oh. So you were gone a while and it just pulled you back 'cause it felt like it? Yeah, I've heard that happens.

[Okay, he can't help asking:] Where the hell did you get a gun like that? That's awesome!

[Menzies is surprised by Kay's sudden appearance, but she makes a beeline for him as soon as she spots him. she's actually quite happy to see him again, but being Menzies, she just smirks and asks:] Rough day at work?

Oh, this thing? [Like the gun is just an old coat pulled out of the closet. But secretly a much loved one.] I'm a protection officer. Came with the job. [He taps a few buttons and the lighting goes down.

He then looks at the towel, looks at Eithan, looks at the towel, gives Eithan another questioning look as if to say, You want this or should I toss it?]

Yeah. [Casual nod, despite the foulness going on.] Sorry I didn't have time to pretty up before I came for a visit. [He stares at the slime-drips that have gathered around his feet. Should he clean that up when he comes back? Someone might step in it... on this floor of nothing. Or something.] I guess they gave me an invite back.

[It smelled unpleasant as well. Leela wrinkled her nose as she walked over to join him.]

Kay?

[And, yes, she smiled despite herself. Even if she couldn't see what he was covered in, she could make an educated guess.]

[Today is a slimy, disgusting day and he's feeling it.] Howdy.

[Rarely does he say howdy, but he likes Leela, despite that he's covered in... whatever horrible fluid some being produced.]

[she gives a short laugh] Guess they did. They must like you. [that means she's pleased to see you, Kay] Need a towel?

[Eithan, in return, makes a face and shakes his head. He waves a hand dismissively. “Just toss it.” Then, his attention goes back to the gun.]

Protection officer... geez. So you’re like some sort of secret service sort of guy in your world? That’s pretty awesome.

That would be very nice of you, thank you. [So sweet and polite and... utterly disgusting. Hi, Menzies! Good to see you.]

Something like that. [He nodded.] The suit must have given me away. [And he held his finger up a moment.]

Be right back then. [And he disappeared, but came back considerably more clean and minus one enormous gun.]

Sorry, had to file a report. [The other part that comes with the giant guns.]

[she smiles wryly] Thank whoever left it behind to be tossed in lost property. [you really can find just about anything in lost property, so she's relatively confident a towel will be there. and in fact, she disappears, returning a few moments later with a multi-coloured beach towel. random, but it should work. she offers it to him]

[He takes the towel and once his gun is wiped (that's important!) he starts working at the rest of him. Yuck gross stink.]

So how was your day at work?

[You know, casual conversation during a slime scrub.]

[she snickers. nice, Kay] At a guess, probably better than yours.

I found out the Viggorans are allergic to yeast, so that's one "murder" solved, at least. And with something I can even put on the paperwork!

Viggorans? I hate when it turn out to be dough allergies. [He gets done with the towel, looks at it.]

...I'll just take this and have it sterilized.

[that...isn't a sight one would normally come across--and Wash is all the more thankful for it. (he'd be finding that gunk in his body armor and weapons for days no matter how well of a cleaning job he did!)]

I take it you won? [eyes the gun, not recognizing the make]

Yeah, apparently it gets messy. He was a newcomer--guess he didn't know what was in that sandwich.

[she gives a short laugh] Keep it! Whoever lost it 'll never know. Come to think of it, probably best that way.

[He nods after swiping a hand down his face.] Yeah. Usually do.

[Just at great expense, obviously.]
